i feel that Froch is going to have to take a couple of big shots in this fight, the sort that caught out Taylor should be quick enough to land on Froch also. He's really got his work cut out and you have to admire his heart.
I think I will sign up to Primetime for this fight together with Ward Bika...........it says nothing on the advert in BN about any replays being available the next day.....and the deal with having to ring a 10p a minute number (0871) to purchase a PPV is just fcking absurd to me, as is the 2.50 charge.....why are BOTH charges necessary??????????????? P*sstake!! But you can't argue with the quality of the match-up.
Froch - Abraham:Poll
Re: Froch - Abraham:Poll
I've said before i think froch will get stopped in this fight but like most people i can see it being an absaloute war, i really hope carl can prove me wrong.
Probably the most excited i've been for a fight all year.

The problem with Froch is he often takes too many silly shots.Flump wrote:I fancy Froch just about on workrate, Abraham fights in spurts and if Carl can get in and out and doesn't take too many silly shots he can win a decision.
How this ended up in Finland is another matter though, I wonder what sort of atmoshere it will be.
He's got a warrior's heart & a chin to match & he seems to want to prove it far too often.
He's also a bit too slow to get in & out easily.
Saying that, he was a wonderful jab, when he bothers to use it; he just doesn't use it as often as he should.
I hope I'm wrong, but I'm going with an Abraham decision.

Prediction of the weekend, if I say so myself...Datsue wrote: Post subject: Re: Froch - Abraham:Poll

Absolutely, yes, Kessler took his nuts with those right hands.
But going to the body like that means AA has to come out of the turtle. Mikkel had the height & reach to land that straight right. AA doesn't. He's going to actually have to risk it to land that same shot, as his arms are about three inches long. Will he do it? What if Frochety gets inside his head when AA finds he can't muscle him about in the clinches? Will he shut down completely?
It's going to be a fascinating weekend.

The fleecing Graham Houston went for Abraham, on a stoppage.

To be fair to him bennie, a lot of people were predicting a similar result. I suppose it's not good when you charge for your picks though!bennie wrote:The fleecing Graham Houston went for Abraham, on a stoppage.
Re: Froch - Abraham:Poll
Abraham post-fight interview is a bit worrying. Looked like he was going to have a mental breakdown.
He could have done with a bit of warmth and compassion from his team, but they all stood emotionless with their arms folded - a very scolding approach.
I like Arthur, he seems a nice guy. I hope he can pull it together after such a clinical beating.

He just met a guy who was all wrong for his style. Not very nice to hear his guys were saying he was fighting `cowardly`.
