Tyson wouldn't have had the fighting heart to deal with the top heavies.

What would he have done if his opponent didn't fall over in the first 4 rounds & kept hitting him back & wasn't scared?

He would have folded like a newspaper. :box:

I think people forget what Tyson was like in his prime. He was fast, hit like he was sporting a sledge hammer and his defense and agility was unmatched. To say Tyson has no heart is insane. Even when hit flush, Mike moved forward. Watch his old fights, before he lost his drive and became distracted by money and his legal problems. Liston would not stand a chance against Tyson in his prime. The Jab was never an effective way to keep Tyson at bay and no one beat Mike in close.

The B level jab of Buster Douglas stopped Tyson in his tracks. Even ol out of shape untrained Holmes gave him some fits with it before his stamina gave up.

And Holyfield beat him also with the jab on the outside (thouhg he did nt have much reach advantage over Mike) and beat him on the inside too.

Liston had a much longer, harder and moe accurate jab than Douglas or Holyfield. He would have swelled a big mouse under Tysons eyes with it. Not sure how much poundint Tyson could take from a big guy like Sony without giving up. Tyson had lots of heart when things went his way, but didnt do well when the foe just wouldnt be intimidated.
Liston didnt get intimidated by anyone.

It seemed Liston may have had less heart than people are saying tho. He quit both times against Ali.

Next the anti-Tyson lobby will suggest that Patterson would have beaten Mike in a close points decision!
