I expect it will be a great fight with Dale getting the upper hand in the second half and then stopping Power late with a body shot.

Dale Robinson used to post on here now and again, under the profile reichter-scale .
Not seen him on here much lately.

Robinson is the more experienced fighter, having held the Commonwelth Title , but this was down at Flyweight. He's also fought Jason Booth for the IBO super fly title, losing narrowly on points, he was floored late on as well. This is only his second or third fight at Bantam.

Martin Power can't match him for experience and this is his first big title fight, he is the more natural Bantamweight, having fought around this weight for his career. Punch power is about even between the 2.

I'm going to go for Power to win on points, But its not a confident pick

This looks like being a cracker. Power's first fight at decent level and Robinson's got the edge in experience but still learning and growing.

I'm fairly confident in my prediction that boxing will be the winner.

Robinson stopped Power in the Amateurs (NABCs) but looked much smaller, even then.

I think Robinson's experience will tell but Power will have his moments, Robinson by late stoppage as well for me although it may drift into points.

It's an interesting match-up.

Power works at a good pace and Robinson likes to work at his own rate, which backfired against Jason Booth.

That said, Dale's experience and firepower should take him to a points win.

I pick Dale to have the experience and fire power to survive a few tough moments early on to take a comfortable but hard fought points win.

I'm still picking Power to come out on top, but i don't mind being proven wrong.

Referee didn't see it i dont think... clearly looked like a headbutt from the replays, Robinson with a bad cut over the left eye

Dont know how you can say Jim Watt is being paid by the Powers Camp... His scorecard had Robinson winning :TU:
his commentary can be annoying though always saying the same things.

I had robinson by 2

Are you crazy?

Watt's commentary was so biased towards Robinson it was disgraceful.

Watt is getting worse and worse, he picks his favourite then his bias is ridiculous.

Good fight, I had Power winning 115-114 so that would have been a draw with the wrongly called knockdown.

Hats off to both guys.

Forgot the fight was on so been watching it out of the corner of my eye in the pub with the missus, you know like the Budweiser advert, "You're such a great listener"

I remember Martin Power as young kid at St Pancras for the couple of fleeting years I boxed there, quite pleased for him now.

Sounds like the fight was close, I wasn't watching it intently (had to pay some attention) but everytime I looked up it appeared Power was bashing the bollox out of Robinson.

When Power was young they used to run stories in the local paper about how they couldn't get a fight for him because he was so small but bloody good with it. He then had a decent (but losing) scrap(s?) with Stephen Foster Jnr in ABA finals, they had quite a rivalry....
