Arthur Abrahams trainer calls him a coward

I think this is totally unacceptable for a trainer to call his fighter a coward after he has lost to a world class fighter, who is bigger than him.

I thought the whole team were a disgrace in the way they cold shouldered AA after the fight. With friends like that...

Well, saying he boxed in a cowardly way is the same thing. It would have been more appropriate for his trainer to say he didn't show enough urgancy or adapt enough.

By cold shouldered, I mean by the way his entire team looked furious with him, arms crossed and offering very little support, which I'd have thought he needed after taking a bit of a hiding for 12 rounds.Sad to see.

indeed. i don't think he didnt try...i just think froch demoralised him and every time he tried something froch backed him off....

Absolutely.I think he resigned himself to the fact that Froch was too big and too good for him.

yes. it's not like AA dramatically changed his style or anything...he was always gonna look a little lacklustre if he lost....he usually looked like that when he won til he actually banged his opponent out.

I wonder where Abraham goes after the super6? Retirement or back to middle?

He has admitted the obvious, that he isn't a s-middle. But will still face Ward ...

I think he's got to go back down to 160. Unfortunately I think Martinez would do a job on him as well though. Shame we didn't get to see Abraham v Pavlik, and prob never will now.

I thought there were stories doing the rounds of Abraham being tight as hell at 160 prior to the step up? He certainly hasn't shrunk in the last 18 months.

agreed .utterly vile remarks to call abraham who is by consensus one of the toughest men to grace boxing in the last 2 decades as "fighting cowardly". The man has fought with a broken jaw and he suffers his first legitimate loss and his team abandom himl. Drop the bums arthur

His team didn't cold-shoulder him. Kalle Sauerland had his arm around him most of the way through a press conference.
Wegner can't actually speak English, so it is likely that something was lost in the translation.
