Ignoring the obvious, who should Pacman fight next?
Ignoring the obvious, who should Pacman fight next?
I hope that we are all on the same page in wanting to see him in the ring with Mayweather, but supposing that fight can't be made, who would you like to see him fight?

Re: Ignoring the obvious, who should Pacman fight next?
berto.
martinez is too big...tho props if he goes for it.
jmm is too small compared to pac version 2010.....pac wouldnt go below 140 and that's a little too high for jmm...
khan fight simply won't happen yet....share roach and it's too early for khan to go against the elite.
bradley is just not in the same class.
so it has to be berto...time for him to step up and fulfill his potential.

Re: Ignoring the obvious, who should Pacman fight next?
JMM at 140 (highly unlikely) or Martinez at 154.
Re: Ignoring the obvious, who should Pacman fight next?
Marquez. Winner fights Berto/Mosley winner.
Re: Ignoring the obvious, who should Pacman fight next?
Martinez followed by Mosley vs Berto winner (is that on, Poncey?).
Re: Ignoring the obvious, who should Pacman fight next?
Mosley fight doesnt intrest me at all after what mayweather did to him
i reckon Pac would Nail Mosley eaisliy now and doesnt really prove anything
think he should just hang fire and hopefully the mayweather fight can happen early next year
Thats the only fight that proves anything more than he already has
although saying that he is still great to watch against anyone but want a fight were he isnt odds on Favourite now

It's one fight they are discussing.stujones wrote:Martinez followed by Mosley vs Berto winner (is that on, Poncey?).
Edit - they = dibella.
Re: Ignoring the obvious, who should Pacman fight next?
Marquez.
Mosley = done
Martinez = too big
Berto = not good enough
Plus I think Marquez gives him the hardest fight. I might get slated for saying this, but all his opponents since then have played into his hands completely, either by being drained (DLH) or not trying (Clottey) or other factors.
Hopefully it will be at 10st too, instead of these crappy Pacweights that we seem to see for every fight these days.

I think Martinez is to much risk for little reward (in casual fans and money) so the most likely is Mosley who brings money to the table! Wouldn't mind Berto either.

Completely agree.LeedsLad wrote:Marquez.

Best fight out there is Marquez at 140lb. HOWEVER - Freddie Roach has already said that a bout with JMM would have to be at 147lb. Presumably this is because he knows that the Mexican is not effective at the weight, as we saw vs Floyd, and so Pac is already at an advantage. So Roach clearly knows that the one available man out there who could beat Pac is JMM.
Agree about the weights too (think it was Lou DiBella who said they should just introduce a whole new weight class, called "Manny-weight). Unfortunately when you're the biggest star in the sport you can dictate terms to most oppponents out there.
Re: Ignoring the obvious, who should Pacman fight next?
HBO should just turn round and say to Arum - it's Mayweather or Marquez, or no TV $$$$$.
I mean.... who wanted to see Pacquiao vs Clottey or Margarito? Apart from the WBO and the WBC?
Oh and Arum
I'd like Sky to do that here too, but that's for another thread.

Good call. Mosley need to prove he's still got it, while Berto would raise his stock with a win over a big name such as that.stujones wrote:Martinez followed by Mosley vs Berto winner (is that on, Poncey?).

Big Audley. If pacman broke a hand punching Audley in the knees he could retire undisputed catchweight champion of the world and fulfill his destiny......
