I've gone for U.S journeyman as he must be a bit to shamed to come back to Europe and especially England.

I can see a rubber match with Danny Williams, or perhaps a rematch with Coleman Barrett.
It would be good to see him in with Fury, Dallas, Price or Big Larry.

I'd love to see David Price have a go at him but can't see it.

Re: who will Audley fight next?
He should go to Germany.
1.) The UK crowds will either not pay to see him again, or they will make it a very spiteful atmosphere when he next fights.
2.) The German crowd is more forgiving - in fact, even appreciative - of the more cautious, technical style.
3.) There's no shortage of decent heavyweights there - some of which he may beat.
Even Henry Akinwande had a decent run in Germany late in his career, so if he can be welcomed - and have some success - there, Harrison could too.

WWE he be great at the promods talking a fight up.
Re: who will Audley fight next?
Good question. But have to admit that I'm struggling to care having naively forked out for the PPV (my own fault - not passing responsibility
).
He really has nowhere to go simply because the only way to redeem himself would be to fight some of the above mentioned up and comers and clearly defeat them whilst showing some well placed aggression. I simply don't think he has the required aggression to defeat many decent operators as he's too scared of getting hit in the process and he isn't getting any younger. To be blunt I don't really think I could care enough to watch him amble and spoil to a grim points defeat against the likes of Price whilst claiming he was robbed.
He should retire. Mission not accomplished. Mission will never be accomplished. He really should move on and try to find something valuable to do with his time. He achieved being European Heavyweight Champion, certainly a lot more than many of us ever will. He's a good speaker, he should move on and do something with the skills he's got.

Re: who will Audley fight next?
Don't rule out a Klitschko. Ok, maybe not next, but once Big Aud gets a career boosting win against some numpty, a Klit will happily take the money that Audley would bring to jab him round the ring for 10 rounds before finishing him off.
Re: who will Audley fight next?
yep, fair point Mark regarding not offering the don't care option, guess I'm still recovering from the disappointment. I'll wind my neck in and actually voteBIGMARK wrote:It was not a question if you cared because if i polled that we may have a 100% success rate. I do however find it interesting to see which path he takes, i really cant see a promoter putting him on a show, i would imagine even Eddie Hearn may of lost the faith.Baboon wrote:Good question. It really is a shame for Audley he did so poorly against Haye as IMO Audley is very interesting to listen to when he talks boxing except when it's about himself. He seemed to win back a lot of people in the build up to the Haye fight so his preformence really shot himself in the foot.
I really do think he's a very eloquent chap who has a lot to offer beyond being in the ring itself. It's just a damn shame he didn't show up. I'd like nothing more than him to redeem himself in the ring if I thought he had it in him.
Bvgger it. Go on Aud, give Rogan another go
Re: who will Audley fight next?
i actually don't believe Audley will fight again, this is a flash in the pan. At least I hope he don't.
Re: who will Audley fight next?
IF Haye cleans up and vacates, that leaves a fragmented and weak division.
If Audley has longevity (and given the number of 'wars' he's been in, I suspect he has) then him getting a title chance is not outside of the realms of possibility. Come fight night, his opponent could trip and hurt himself and then BINGO, new champ.
If you include WBO as champ then him becoming HW Champ puts him in the glittering company of:
Sanders
Rahman
Briggs
Liakhovich (who?)
Peter
He'll bide his time with journeymen until he gets a chance against weaker champions than the current batch.
He won't come back to the UK because we're racist. We like Bruno, Lenox and Haye but not Audley. CLEAR racism.

Re: who will Audley fight next?

Re: who will Audley fight next?
Mainland Europe against a prospect - someone like that German who has an Italian name, or why not Povetkin - 2004 Olympic champ
