You can do that when you are your own promoter.

Ditto, however i have gone to the pub with the other 4 or 5 other people who go. The last few times I've met a few pro's, and thats what made me return.
My problem is that i love this sport too much and i find it hard not to go/pay for an Australian card, and Mundine has learn't from Green to put an attractive semi main on to get somewhat of an interest, this card however is a real stinker, no offense to anyone participating but definitely a real stinker in the matchups department.

You know the longer i read the threads and posts of people on this forum, the more i realize that most people that post here generally don't watch the fights!!!! Ironic when you think about it, especially when trying to offer an opinion, and this is not based on Mundine's cards, it's based on Green cards,Kats cards,Vic cards, but best of all, it's really quite funny now that i think about it, but most can't/dont even watch Thursday fox cards.

So do I generally have debates/conversations with people who either agree/disagree who never actually seen a punch thrown.......When i look back, I'm sure I'll still consider it time well spent

Im with you mate, I watch every fight.
Ive even been sucked in to watching the Mundine cards a few times. Even though i know the result before hand and the undercard is normally ordinary. I find myself sitting at home on a Wednsday night and thinking will i watch Boxing or the other Crap on TV. And Boxing normally wins

Yeah, Im with you guys. There is no doubt Chocs cards stink but its still boxing and I find mysf either diown the local or at a mates house watching. We are starved of boxing in Australia so any chance I get I turn it on. But I agree with the original post, after watching Rocky last weekend life does seem a bit unfair. Well done Rock.

I know you do mate, and it shows, i often find your take on a card to be insightful, the thing is you 1 up me sometimes by actually being present at the fights by Judging/timekeeping, so your opinion is valid. I'll eventually make that phone call soon or later, because i couldn't think of a better part time job.
Would have loved to been able to kick the cigarettes and take the sport serious, but i think at least being involved at some level would be quite rewarding.

If you love the sport, the rise of fighter is a pretty special thing to witness and sometimes these little future world champs appear on a real average card.

Yeah, don't get me wrong I like boxing, and Mundine is what got me into boxing... I just see him as a waste of talent as he is getting older and not fighting world class, disappointing as a Mundine fan knowing that he could do better (opposition wise)... If we all stopped buying his PPV's he would be forced then to go out and fight top 10 guys..

On another note, I don't have foxtel therefore can't watch Thursday night fights. What happen to channel one? they had some alright cards then it just stopped. Are they going to have more boxing in the future?

When Mundine fought Sven Ottke, he was dipping his toe into the world level boxing scene with a hand picked faux world champion and got knocked the fvck out. he has been too scared to fight a world level opponent since (he didn't fight Kesslar, he merely survived against him :shame: ).

Do you mean they could not get a PPV channel to cover this "contest " ? ;;-)

Interesting, Perhaps I should start another thread but can't be bothered.

Do you give Chisora a chance to make it close?

I am a Brit and I think this will end up in a brutal KO - I wish Chisora all the best of british but he will get taught a boxing lesson.

Please Haye...Step up!!!! Make HW interesting as you have promised!!

And Mundine - you are a waster. Hope the next argie you bring over as a 'warm up' will knocks you senseless!!!!

I'll get my coat!!

The Klit Bros sell their fights to RTE, a terrestrial channel in Germany, it is up to RTE who they sell to. They are not PPV as most people think!!!

We should all hang our heads in shame for sullying the good name of Micheal Katsidis.
