Very good result. It's nice to see all the talk beforehand wasn't a load of bollocks. This win will bump his rating up quite a bit.

scrappy fight i thought... yassine mixed showboating with some rough-house tactics and was warned by the ref at several points, had a point taken off, earlier fights on the card saw two DQ's, if it had not been the main event would the ref have gone further than he did? El Maachi deserved the win because he outfought his opponent, but Colas came on strong in the later rounds and made a good fight of it, didn't deserve the reception he got from the crowd, I wish the football fans would stick to football sometimes. At one point the ref seperated the boxers but el maachi simply kept punching, and then when action resumed threw colas to the floor and raised his arms in the air like he'd managed something. Don't get me wrong, he deserved the win, but I could so easily see him becoming one of those fighters who people pay to see if he will lose.

Sabie Monteith was one of the earlier DQ's, started his fight at 100mph and the other fella didn't even have time to try and stand him off, but he led with his head and the ref called it off inside the first, to anger from Monteith and opposing him from the crowd, who excelled themselves by throwing coins at him. Mother must be so proud...

The other DQ was Barret's opponent, the Croatian, who got chucked out for persistent holding, to be fair, it was hold or get stopped I think, Barret found the way to hurt the bloke.

Phil Gill gave a good account of himself, the other bloke didn't seem to have the dig to bother him, meaning Phil took a few shots he maybe didn't need to, but as I say it didn't bother him and it was a good fight.

A local lad to me, Richard Hines, was stopped in his debut, by Scott Moises, personally I thought he looked fine coming up from a KD but the ref thought otherwise.

'John' Wayne Hibbert and Liam Warburton were the fight of the night. Good all-action scrap

It was that - lets face it you rarely see any small show where the home side doesn't do well - only one red corner fighter lost, but all the fights were good matchups, I don't think there were TOO many where every round went to one fighter. Sky need to start showing these cards because they are good from top to bottom, little filler/mismatch fights.
