Re: Burns v Evensen RBR
119-108 X2 AND 118-109, Burns by UD, doesnt tell the whole story those one sided cards
Re: Burns v Evensen RBR
thought the judges scorecards were alittle bit to wide , i agree with alex patterson though. I also had it 9-3 or 117-110.
evenson was much tougher and better than expected , good wee fighter.
burns wasnt as good as he was vs martinez but clearly won the fight. I wonder if those weight issues were true as he didnt have the same kind of energy tonight but still credit to him as he threw 711 punches

Re: Burns v Evensen RBR
Burns takes it 116-112 for me. Decent effort from Evensen though.
Re: Burns v Evensen RBR
Maybe Burns underestimated the opponent.
I thought this would be a walk-over homecoming pay day for him, the reality is he had to work for his wages tonight.

Re: Burns v Evensen RBR
was there any press reports on each guys purse??? , both deserved what they got paid tonight
Re: Burns v Evensen RBR
Maybe a drop down to FW might be in order for Evensen? Could have a bit more success there.

Definetly I would be really surprised if he never fought on these shores againkevo wrote:Maybe a drop down to FW might be in order for Evensen? Could have a bit more success there.
Re: Burns v Evensen RBR
I think he stepped up for this one Kevo and is normally a FW.kevo wrote:Maybe a drop down to FW might be in order for Evensen? Could have a bit more success there.
Re: Burns v Evensen RBR
was WBO intercontinental champ at 9st. was no 7 in their feather rankings when the fight was announced then he of course re-appeared in super-feather rankings the following monthG0mez wrote:I think he stepped up for this one Kevo and is normally a FW.kevo wrote:Maybe a drop down to FW might be in order for Evensen? Re: Burns v Evensen RBR
i think evensen will be a better fighter for that performance tonight , would like to watch him again especially at featherweight

If Khan gets past Maidana next week he will probably take him as his next voluntaryalexpaterson wrote:Definetly I would be really surprised if he never fought on these shores againkevo wrote:Maybe a drop down to FW might be in order for Evensen? Could have a bit more success there.

See, it's not that I agree with you, it's just if I'd've thought of it first I'd have posted it, just for the sake of it, like, so

Re: Burns v Evensen RBR
Good old Evensen. He showed he had plenty of balls, but was as predicted, too small and frankly not skilled enough to trouble Burns.
The Norwegians over here are hailing him as a king after (and I quote) "Taking his beating like a true viking". He did show a great desire, but he seriously needs to move down to Featherweight if he is going to have any chance at the top level.
Burns found it hard work too look good, but he was always in control. Decent little fight.

He did look too little against Burns, he would be a real force at Featherweight, seemed a really nice guy and gave it a real goforcefraser wrote:Good old Evensen. He showed he had plenty of balls, but was as predicted, too small and frankly not skilled enough to trouble Burns.
