i gave them both a share of the last 117-111 Burns. credit to Evensen he gave his all, and was always competitive

thought the judges scorecards were alittle bit to wide , i agree with alex patterson though. I also had it 9-3 or 117-110.

evenson was much tougher and better than expected , good wee fighter.

burns wasnt as good as he was vs martinez but clearly won the fight. I wonder if those weight issues were true as he didnt have the same kind of energy tonight but still credit to him as he threw 711 punches

was WBO intercontinental champ at 9st. was no 7 in their feather rankings when the fight was announced then he of course re-appeared in super-feather rankings the following month

Good old Evensen. He showed he had plenty of balls, but was as predicted, too small and frankly not skilled enough to trouble Burns.

The Norwegians over here are hailing him as a king after (and I quote) "Taking his beating like a true viking". He did show a great desire, but he seriously needs to move down to Featherweight if he is going to have any chance at the top level.

Burns found it hard work too look good, but he was always in control. Decent little fight.

He did look too little against Burns, he would be a real force at Featherweight, seemed a really nice guy and gave it a real go
