El Maachi Beats Colas...Where Are You Now?

Post by mbudgen »

After making easy work of Jimmy Colas, Yassine El Maachi is now ready to take on anybody who thinks they can beat him.

After many recent posts not many thought Yass would beat European Ranked No. 4 Colas, but took to this immense task like a duck to water.

So now boys step up to the mark and say if your willing to fight El Maachi

Rhodes says Yassine is not worthy, yet he goes and fights somebody ranked 150 places lower than El Maachi in the rankings. So if you think your the next up and coming light-middleweight step up to the mark and fight the best Light-Middleweight in England Yassine El Maachi!

Rhodes is close to a world title fight? Why does he need to fight a guy stopped by flournoy and just beat a guy who lost to a journeyman like Bertu last year.

Colas was ranked 4th in europe before last nights demolitian. Bertu has won 21 and lost 4 how you call that a journeyman defies belief young sir.

I love the fact your looking back years a go to find somebody Yassine has been stopped by... No one has the bottle to fight El Maachi

For El Maachi, read Olusegun or Witter, not in terms of ability but the reasons why not many wish to fight him. Yes, Yassine is talented but more importantly he is awkward enough to make a good fighter look bad, is uknown outside hardcore fans, has no promoter with a TV deal and will not give a higher ranked fighter like Rhodes a decent payday. Colas was an impressive result but sadly leaves Yassine no closer to a major fight. Too good for his own good? Maybe. Too awkward and low-profile for his own good? Definitely.

Yassine does not have a tv promoter as he does not have a British passport and is not eligible for British, Commonwealth or European titles.

Sky insist on these types of fights and as Yassine is not qualified for these he makes no appeal (understandably) to the cartel who have sky Sports.

There will be developments in 2011 watch this space and he may drop down to Welterweight to get the big fight at the end of 2011.

Fair play to you, Steve: you've taken a chance and backed Yasine.

Hope it continues to go well. I suggest getting Yasine UK citizenship must be the best route for you...

if no one is scared of yassine why does no one fight him... because he will make every fighter look silly thats why! If yassine was no threat to any big fighter thy would fight him and beat him easily, picking up a nice pay packet as well.

He beat Colas he will now beat the rest of the world

why on earth would someone of Ryan Rhodes' stature pick up a good payday against El Maachi? In terms of tv - which is where the real money comes from - Rhodes would be the draw so in theory he generates a decent payday for Yassine. He is tremendously unattractive on the risk/reward ratio.

Assuming that Rhodes is going onto bigger and better things is there any chance Yassine could be the away figher and go to the Czech republic and fight Konecny for the euro belt. If he were to win that it would be almost impossible for him to be avoided. He must be in the top 10 in Europe now after the Colas win.

Hes not eligible to fight for it!I dont know what Mr Goodwin is going to do with him to be honest,it will cost a lot of money to keep bringing better opponents to The York Hall.Considering the capacity and the number of bouts Goodwin puts on it must be very expensive trying to get El Maachi up there. Also,a points win is not exactly "destroying" your opponent.

I guarentee Yassine will be on to bigger and better things by the end of next year. You all doubt him but just wait and see.

I can see a tv contract on the horizon, people want to watch el maachi whether its to see him lose or win.

And my comments are getting el maachi noticed and talked about remember that one gents.
