Fight Of The Year?
Fight Of The Year?
Does anybody know which fight got "fight of the year" at the Luncheon in London yesterday? Can't find anything about it. Andy Morris v Gary Sykes was nominated.

Yeah nice one, it was a good fight to watch live. I wasn't too happy about outing myself as a South Yorkshireite though.Mooresy wrote:Cheers fellaCounter-puncher wrote:glad to hear it, congratulations on a great honour jamie

All the best, Jamie! Deserved it mate.
Re: Fight Of The Year?
richly deserved - it was one of the best fights I've seen in the UK in years, had everything - great technique and tactics as well as blood and guts combat.

They do it on a season year so its October 2009 to September 2010 (I think).Counter-puncher wrote:it was oct 2009 i thought
It was a more deserving winner than the fighter of the year, in my opinion.
Anyone know or got a link to the full list of nominees and winners in each category?
Re: Fight Of The Year?
It really was a top fight, only problem is it sent Jamie Moore on a spiral of problems, I mean have you seen the trousers that he's started wearing whilst on the TV now. That NEVER would have happened before the Rhodes fight. OK enjoy your history making award Mr Moore but I hope on your way back home from 'The Smoke' I hope you stopped off at Primark to invest in some new Clobber.Tykemania wrote:richly deserved - it was one of the best fights I've seen in the UK in years, had everything - great technique and tactics as well as blood and guts combat.

Re: Fight Of The Year?
There was no other choice, I don't think.Jamie Moore-Ryan Rhodes was a belter. It was thought at a tremendous pace, with high levels of skill and punching power throughout,as well as good durability, ring savy and heart from both fighters.A real pleasure to watch.
The fact that Jamie Moore has won this award 3 time now, speaks volumes for his career, and he can be justifiably proud.

Jamie, I thought you were good in the studio for Pacquiao-Margarito. Think you will be doing any more?
Congrats on the award, as people have said, great fight.

Cheers fella, yes done quite a few now, did Mat Hatton and Martin Murry fights last week and doin a little bit on the GR8 BRITAIN show on Saturday from ringside, so must be doing somethin right. Really enjoying doing it too, keeping me involved at the top level in a sport I love without getting punched in the teeth! What more could a man ask for!! Hopefully it'll keep being a regular thing, getting good feedback so fingers crossed.Scottrf wrote:Jamie, I thought you were good in the studio for Pacquiao-Margarito.
