After viewing the replay, this looked more like a wrestling match than a boxing match and the final KO blow was a vicious shot to the back of the head.

It's really irrelevant but Mundine put himself in that position. You wager BIG dough to make EASY money and it will eventually bite you in the ass. It's Russian Roulette. I lost more than you. Shit happens sometimes but thems the breaks. Watching the Wood/Organov Monday Night Raw fight had to have you thinking this would be nothing more than a wrestling match. I thought Mundine would tame this glorified tough man but was painfully wrong. Some funny shit tends to happen down under. Now perhaps Danny Green will finally call for that rematch

Oh, poor diddums! You have been shooting your mouth off on current scene about wood being a "bum" and he sat your hero on his arse! Even Choc said Garth did well.

Behind the ear is not the back of the head, just as the liver punch to the side of the ribs is legal while the kidney punch is not. Any part of the body above the belt that you can see facing the opponent is a fair punch.

There was choc a couple of months ago saying he was the only man with the skills to beat Mayweather.

Maybe he was talking about chess.

This wouold be the ideal outcome as Mundine could set up a decent money rematch with woods and not have to go overseas. He could say crap like "this boy got lucky so know I have tke care of business at home before I conquer the world". It would also make Woods a household name and I believe Box promotions have an interest in his future fights so that would also be good for Choc too. Mundine then wins the rematch on points, restores his "image", and doesn't have to go on and actuaaly fight a top 10 guy but still "get's paid".
HOW PREDICTABLE.

After seeing the replay of the blow and the way they tried stay as slose to eachother as possible in the corner and block the view I have to believe this was a fix like I said in the above post a few days ago. Yes it was a "BIG" shot but I don't buy it.

This is the perfect result for Mundine who now has to "re-think" his plans to go over seas. Now he can stay in Aus fighting tomato cans in prep for a rematch with Wood, all the while getting paid a crapload for doing it.

The WWE got nuthin on Mundine and Boxa, lol

rubbish!!!!!!!!!!!

u didn't come up with this dribble while on a ride in a flying saucer by any chance, lol.

if he didn't want to go overseas he could fake injury or something easy. not go to that extreme ffs.

i would be surprised if he fought wood again. nothing to gain imo.

Mate an injury wouldn't allow hiim to stay in aus and get a bigger money rematch. As for the flying saucer, well, mate my prediction was accurate before the fight happended which is more than I can say for yours.

People as nieve as you are the reason he gets away with it. Keep believing though mate. Don't forget to put your miulk and cookies out for santa this xmas

good call on the prediction, but im really not sure on the "fix". it wasnt a hard punch that ottke floored him with either, just flush, similar to this one, also note the body punch after the one in the head, looks to me like it would have been very very cloe to solarplexs. so that woulda helped the KO cause.
as for paydays here i somehow think that his PPV numbers will drop a fair bit after this because i believe a lot of punters were only watching his fights in the hope he got KO'd, and now thats happened i think the PPV numbers will drop significantly, IMO

you guys are so so wrong....there was no DIVE/FIX!!!! it just took Jeff Fenech and Billy to work out that mundine is not as good as he thought he was. i can tell you first hand that the boys worked hard over the last several weeks on their game plan and it paid off. i can also tell you that we have pockets full of money this morning, we were all that confident that Garth would win by ko that we took the great odds at 11/1 and 41/1 for the ko in round 5....they say winners are grinners

I sort of feel sorry for wood, he will now think he can take on the world & he will be KO'd by any fighter in the top 20 middleweights/supermiddlewights in the world....he barely throws punches, & dirty tactics wont get u far if u decide to take on sum1 in another country(especially Germany)...

No need to have cry love. It's all good. You wanted to say my opinion was dribble and i was on a flying saucer so you must have expected some response.

Mundine loves staging things, like his push in the face on Ryan waters "I am going topush you in the face ok?"

I agree with your last sentence. I don't care if it was staged either as I don't waste any money on his fights either.

Bring on Sunday and Vic D'd fight I say

I take no pleasure in seeing mundine koed. But it was inevitable, where he went wrong is his choose of his last 17 opponents. Our two biggest football codes understand that you have to improve every year. Mundine didn't simply because he didn't have to, no opponent hefought was able to impart knowledge so hekept on doing the same thing. Lack of testing opponents cost him dearly. Pity because he has all the attributes except a willingness to test himself. A victim of hand picking opponents. I fear now that his time has passed.

Trying watching the replay with both eyes open. Count from round one who hit who in the back of the head, not to mention the holding....and as for the KO punch, it is a left hook that puts him to slepp whilst choc is leaning over after a body shot, nothing to with a hit behind the head. Watch the camera angle that is behind choc whilst he is on the ropes, that is the best one !!
