Re: GR8 britain Vs the World PPV question
Can't be 100% sure, as I usually don't bother with the repeats of these box office shows, but from what I have seen they open them with the main event first. I'd be very surprised if they don't judge Khan as the main event so I presume he will be on first, then Klitschko v Chisora and Smith v DeGale. Then they will fill the 3 hours with extremely brief undercard highlights.BIGMARK wrote:THis is one long show and due to fact i have kids i wont be able to stay up for the Vegas Khan part of the bill. I order my PPV via the phone so cant SKY+ it and was wondering if the re-runs on the sunday will start with the the Vegas stuff before Liverpool/Germany bill? As good as it will be to see Paul, Frankie and Bomber winning in style againi would prefer to watch the Khan fight on delay with my cornflakes
cheers
Is there no way you can order the PPV through your box and then sky+ it? It's my sisters 18th that night so I'm sky+'ing it and watching it all the next day.
Re: GR8 britain Vs the World PPV question
I always record the PPV's (I order the fight through the remote), so unless they've changed anything, but the fight does auto-delete after a few weeks.
Recording off Primetime is a totally different kettle of fish, it just froze my Sky box

There are ways and means to record if you phoned up the PPV. Just google it.

A couple of times I thought that Primetime had killed my telly. The only way to get it going again was to unplug everything then turn it all on again.Chambers2 wrote: Recording off Primetime is a totally different kettle of fish, it just froze my Sky box

The sky + in my place dosent work and I'm away saturday night. The ppv page on the sky menu says the it can be viewed at 9am on the Sunday, have you got to watch it at 9am on the Sunday or can you select it any time that day? As I won't be back till lunchtime

Re: GR8 britain Vs the World PPV question
The last few PPV's I've had to watch on the repeat have shown the event as it would of been live. It's a shame that you can't record without a phoneline I've had to avoid any communication until the next day when I've watched the repeat on many occassions, I've only just managed to get a phone line installed which is more expense.

Well its not something Sky want us to do and as such don't want to get the forum into trouble with promoters.dekker88 wrote:can't you just tell us?stujones wrote:There are ways and means to record if you phoned up the PPV. Just google it.

Some people are so ungrateful.
Re: GR8 britain Vs the World PPV question
The subsequent re-runs are condensed down into 3 hour slots. As the last SKY PPV was. It's on the EPG, just check.

Re: GR8 britain Vs the World PPV question
Nah, to be honest it won't be that hard. The Khan fight will take the best part of an hour first up, unless he gets caught flush on the chin and goes down. They'll probably show all the Klitschko v Chisora and Smith v DeGale fight, then pad the 3 hours out with undercard fights if needed. They'll have people working on it as the night goes on, so no need to worry.BIGMARK wrote:I can ensure you i am up far from ungrateful kind sirchrisfinch wrote:Fucks sake, you aren't gonna get that on here, are you?BIGMARK wrote: but that's you opinion i want to know for sure

I just remember the the night of the Oscar-Pacman fight which was a PPV with the Uk Khan bill and when it came to the re-run i had to sit through the whole card again before i got to the Pacman fight.
I hope your right but it doesnt give Sky much time to edit and put it together when the Khan fight will finish around 5am and the first re-run is 9am.
EDIT: And sorry if i came off as being a bit harsh. The answer I gave is probably the best you'll get, unless the exceedingly unlikely event of someone from sky coming on here and confirming it-but they are all busy with other stuff this weekend, natch.

Re: GR8 britain Vs the World PPV question
Is this definitely the case for this weekend though as it still just says 9am on my sky tv guide?BIGMARK wrote:There is normally 3 showings through the dayBennyblanco wrote:The sky + in my place dosent work and I'm away saturday night. Re: GR8 britain Vs the World PPV question
According to the Sky Box Office website there will be three-hour repeat shows on at 9am, 1pm and 7pm on the Sunday.
Do you have to either buy the live event or the repeat though? Only when I ordered the fight that shall not be mentioned last month they asked if I wanted the live showing or the repeat?
