Klitschko, 34, the WBO and IBF champion, will be out for three to six weeks and will then resume training. "He tore a muscle in his back and has had back spasms," said Richard Schaefer, CEO of Golden Boy Promotions, in Las Vegas.
He added: "I have spoken to Shelley Finkel [Klitschko's US adviser] and if we can make a Klitschko fight with David Haye we will do that next and if not Wladimir will revert back to fighting Chisora.”
Haye the WBA heavyweight champion is already in Las Vegas to see Amir Khan defend his WBA title this weekend. Adam Booth, Haye's manager and trainer, lands in Nevada on Friday.

According to gareth Davies twitter
Re: Chisora fight off
Boxing is such a frustrating sport at times! The Liverpool bill was very weak.

Re: Chisora fight off
feel sorry for Chisora - he must be distraught especially if they're sidestepping him now, chance and payday of a lifetime to nothing. Maybe Fwank can put him in with big Larry in Liverpool instead....
Re: Klitscho v CHisora off
Just think, I was going to order this this morning. If Sky had anything about them they would reduce the price. But they won't.
Re: Klitscho v CHisora off
bottle job - he obviously didn't fancy it much when he saw Chisora this morning. Too much risk for too little reward.

ALways so many pullouts with anything to do with Wazza pomotion. Feel sorry for Del Boy. Sky should scrap this as a pay per view. It wont sell more than 50,000 anyway.Dioufy wrote:Just think, I was going to order this this morning. If Sky had anything about them they would reduce the price. But they won't.

What a joke. As always, boxing finds a way to screw us all over at the last minute. I was actually foolish enough to start looking forward to this weekend. Not anymore, though. This PPV event is a farce and £15 is staying firmly in my pocket. Like most Wazza PPV events, this thing is going to flop big stylee ![[icon_witsend.gif] :witzend:](./images/smilies/icon_witsend.gif)

Wladimir Klitschko has withdrawn from his IBF/WBO heavyweight title defence
against Britain's Dereck Chisora after tearing a muscle in his back, Klitschko's US boxing advisor Shelley Finkel has told Press Association Sport.
allegedly, who was promoting Chisora in the fight, told BS.com: "I was informed about an hour ago that Klitschko pulled a back muscle and he was out of the fight.
"Dereck is very disappointed. He didn't believe it. He felt everything was fine. Three or four days before a title fight, most of the hard work is done."

Wladimir will never fight Chisora. He is an intelligent man and knew from early on that Chisora had his number.axelf45 wrote:Wladimir Klitschko has withdrawn from his IBF/WBO heavyweight title defence

Re: Klitscho v CHisora off
This is absolute bollocks, a great weekend on Monday has turned into a severe disappointment. I was gonna put a fiver on Del Boy, I hate Klitschkos even more now after this, how very convenient of him :x
Re: Klitscho v CHisora off
Is there anyone half decent that Chisora could defend his British or Commonwealth title against at three days notice?
Matt Skelton or someone like that?

Re: Klitscho v CHisora off
Why? How dare a 250 pound professional athlete get injured once every now and then! I suppose you must hate Haye to some degree as well, since he pulled out of his fight with Wlad due to a back injury.iwz678 wrote:This is absolute bollocks, a great weekend on Monday has turned into a severe disappointment. See, I could warm to the Klitschko's --s'got to be cheaper than Horlicks, innit?-- but it's the way that even acknowledging that they're effective --dull & overly reliant on their abundant physical advantages, but effective nonetheless-- engenders such utter terror that I'd turn into a humourless bastard like... Everyone who defends them on a messageboard.

Michael Sprott be a good choice.Horse wrote:Is there anyone half decent that Chisora could defend his British or Commonwealth title against at three days notice?

Many posters who defend the Klitschkos on this messageboard have a good sense of humor. I just don't understand why anyone would hate Wlad for injurying himself.Datsue wrote:crusader wrote:Why?
