Has there even been one in history to ever have any kind of public profile, or crack the top-100 of the division? ![[icon_e_confused.gif]](./images/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif)

The 6'6" amateur Zhang Zhilei is the best Chinese heavyweight I am aware of. He won a bronze at the 2007 World Championships and was the runner up at the 2008 Olympics, losing only to the excellent Roberto Cammarelle. He has also won several international tournaments, including one just few weeks ago where he defeated a former world #2 in the finals.

Well, there you go, Brutu. I don't think you'll do any better than that.crusader wrote:The 6'6" amateur Zhang Zheilei is the best Chinese heavyweight I am aware of. I seem to remember reading an article in a sports magazine in 1984,where it mentioned a Chinese boxer
that was going to compete in the 1984 Olympics that had a 98 inch reach.
Could be Im just remembering incorrectly tho.

an amateur heavyweight of Chinese extraction named
Ah Wing"Frank"Dong.
He competed in the 1940 Golden Gloves Tournament.
