SKY BOX OFFICE BILL
Ratings taken from Boxrec.
Brook World number 5 v Philip Kotey Can't find him in the top 300 at light middle ,welter or light welter (might have missed him )
Macklin World number 8 v Ruben Varon World number 207 ( 6 in front of Luke Osman !!)
Cleverley World number 5 v Nadjib Mohammedi World Number 20
Bellew World Number 24 v Ovil Mc Kenzie World number 30
Olubamiwo World Number 72 v Samir Kurtagic World Number 207
Khan World Number 2 v Maidana World Number 4
Khan and Bellew are good fights but hardly BOX OFFICE . The rest are insults to our intelligence . Its like asking a pub team to play against Man Utd full side , after a night on the tiles .
This is what's beginning to sicken me about boxing . I've just listened to SKY's preview and the guy was talking up Ruben Varon , for goodness sake he's 207th in the World !!!!!!
Thought you might like to know some details
Re: Thought you might like to know some details
Varon's ranking is misleading, he is a decent fighter, also has a win against the current light middle euro champ. Obviously FW isn't trying to get his fighters beat but it is rare muppets slip through to fight for the Euro belt, this isn't the commonwealth council!!

Where was Prescott in the rankings when he beat Khan or what about Harrisson when he lost to Haye.
The point I'm making is in boxing it doesn't matter about your ranking if it did most fights would be not held Harrison was rated quite high but everyone knew that he was going to do well to survive yet Prescott was low in the rankings compared to Khan and there was an upset.
The whole point of this PPV was because it was scheduled for 2 world title fights, an interim and loads of other minor title fights with an oppotunity to watch much of the undercard for all 3 cards. One world title is not going ahead now but it will still seem like good value to many more people who don't feel its good value.

World number 20 isn't a bad opponent for Cleverly at this stage of his career, and seeing as though he was a late replacement too.

I really dont want to sound like an ass but if you dont think it is good value then dont watch it. It is simple, you have a choice. I myself is travelling to the Echo Arena to watch it all live and am really buzzing about it. Maybe some of the fights are a bit of a let down based on what FW promised when he announced his intentions, but all in all this will be the 2nd top bill he has put on this year which no other bill has come close to yet.
