I can't remember Khan ever stopping an opponent with one punch or even forcing an opponent to take the full count, it's mainly tko's. You would expect Maidaina to have enough about him to avoid that scenarioDIRT SUGAR wrote:Khan's more Tommy Hearns in chin than Ray Leonard, but he's stronger, more mature and better at light-welter and was killing himsfelf to make lightweight.
I'll go as far to say Khan will make a statement in this fight and win by KO in first three rounds... possibly even the first as Maidana walks onto one.
khan has to fight the perfect fight as he hasnt got a chin

I'll go with that, though I fancy him to last until 7/8...DIRT SUGAR wrote:Khan's more Tommy Hearns in chin than Ray Leonard, but he's stronger, more mature and better at light-welter and was killing himsfelf to make lightweight.

I'm going with Khan within the first 6 rounds.
Without doubt he is a better fighter under Roach.

I agree. Plus, Master Roach won't let Khan throw enough punches to force a stoppage, the game plan will be to use the jab well again and to pick Maidana off on his way in. Wait for him to lunge in recklessley, throw that quick straight right and get his arse back out of range. I don't see Khan having enough one-punch power to hurt Maidana so I'm going for a wide UD for Khan.freddydoesdallas wrote:I can't remember Khan ever stopping an opponent with one punch or even forcing an opponent to take the full count, it's mainly tko's. Obviously a lot of people are putting faith in Freddie Roach's almost super human matchmaking abilities ( he's not often wrong is he? ) but remember this is a fight he did not want, less than a year ago. A fight he saw a bad for Amir Khan....I wonder what's changed his opinion so much of late. I would imagine Amir talked him into taking this one. That's how it sounded, as the always confident Khan was calling for this before Freddie was.
Hopefully he's right, and Amir does a number on the Argie. But I've got a feeling it aint going to be as easy for Khan as a lot of people seem to think.
