On the secondsout US section it tells you who is in the contender final.

I got stiffed, but you don't have to.

Still, fabulous series. And I'm sure it'll be recommissioned.

They should do it with heavyweights next time.

I am enjoying the series and last nights fight was quite "hollywood".

I underastand there is only 1 fight left....but 4 contenders.
Not sure whats going on there.

Bad news for you then because NBC have cancelled it and it wont return on that channel next year. Rumour has it though that the makers are determined to do another series next year on a different channel

There is 2 fighters left in the main tournament but there are also 8 that will fight on tonights undercard, unercard fights can be seen live on the internet.

Did anyone notice the dodginess of the Manfredo-Gilbert result?

It seemed apparent that they were level, 2 rounds each going into the final round (the highlights supported this, as did the people at ringside), then a clash of heads in the 5th led to it going to the scorecards, and you could hear someone at ringside saying they'd score the incomplete round as well.

Now I know this is in effect a gameshow and they can make up their own rules, and accordingly a draw would be rather undesirable and presumably bollock up their tv scheduling, but surely in terms of their respective ring records the result can't stand?

It also raises the question of the equity of the judging for all the other fights, given a draw is such a no-no.

In the ITV2 version I am watching, they've just finished the final round 2 fight. So there are 4 fighters left, but Manfredo keeps saying he is "1 fight away from a million". So how do they get from 4 contenders to champion with only 1 fight?

Yeah i stumbled across the seconds out spoiler too.

Last night's fight was pretty dramatic.

I'm surprised the show has been cancelled i'd have thought - Sly, SRL, sport + gameshow elements would have covered most bases and i have certainly enjoyed it for what it is.

I get the feeling though that they edit the fights to support the decision. I wish they had another version of the show with the full fights and analysis.
Wish we could her more from Ray other than the occasional nugget.

Been thinking for sometime that this show might be fixed for Manfredo.

His last fight (in the UK) must have been edited to suit him - because if there were not edited and looked dodgy there would have been loads of consipracies. However, even with that - I thought Gilbert looked to have won, or drawn. I mean - to stop the fight with 30 seconds to go on a round that he looked to be winning was controvesial.

I didn't like how Manfredo was allowed back in the tournament.

It looked to me as though Gilbert had nicked it too BUT would he have recovered to take part in the next round. I doubt it somehow as the cut above his eye was a bit of a mess. Maybe they took that into consideration.
I agree, don't like the fact that someone who got booted off the first show could still be in the reckoning for the million bucks.

There are 2 main fights, and 3 other fanfavourites matches (I doubt we'll see the last 3 in the UK as they are only being broadcast on the internet so worth a look I reckon). First of the three matches starts at 6pm UK time.

ITV have really fucked up they could have shown the show on a 1 week delay then 2 episodes last night and we could have had the final live.
