Rumour has it that a Ruiz v Brewster fight will be added to the Don King Heavyweight PPV in August which includes Byrd v Toney and Rahman v Barrett.
It sounds like a tasty line-up

People I know that work with Don King said neither one of these fights is likely. Toney is poison now and won't get to fight again for a long time... Ruiz I'm sure would be eger to fight another champ... but the WBO belt is not what he had in mind. Byrd is fighting SirGay... that one is already in the books.

No, although has been used to enhance performance in some sporting situations. It was still a banned substance and nobody said it was a disgrace to the sport that he was let off completely (no ban at all). Infact, people wanted him to fight for a world title immediately after the fight.

Come on, with guys like Tyson and Ibeabuchi and Tony Ayala and Jo-el Scott the sport is in a constant state of disgrace. I for one would like to see Byrd v Toney, there are people out there who've done a lot worse than "Lights Out", and let's be honest he wouldn't have needed any performance enhancements to beat Ruiz. He's good for the division and he hasn't raped, robbed or murdered anyone.

No, although has been used to enhance performance in some sporting situations. It was still a banned substance and nobody said it was a disgrace to the sport that he was let off completely (no ban at all). Infact, people wanted him to fight for a world title immediately after the fight.

I cant remember if he got suspended (a 90 days suspension for boxers isnt something you notice) but the victory was changed to a NC, so he could have got the same penalty as Toney has gotten.

Fair enough, Freiheit although I am talking more about peoples reactions to it.

Dare I say if Vitali, with all his back problems, took and got caught taking steriods (not saying he is, just hypothetical) and got a similar punishment would there be the same negative thoughts.

I just think that peoples (and I'm not saying Bubi personally) negativity towards Toney's sentence is because he is sometimes considered an unpopular fighter who has embarressed the heavyweight devision with his win and they don't want him around.

When I was younger I was pretty good at shooting, so good that it could happen that they I could have been asked to do a doping test (never did, but thats not the point). At one time I got an eye disease. The normal treatment for the disease is steoroids and it will only take a couple of weeks but I didnt dare take them because of the risk of getting caurght in a doping test, so I had to use a different treatment. It took more than two months to cure it.
Points is, there are almost always different treatments to injuries some just takes longer than others, you just have to be patience.

Toney can not fight for the WBC title for 2 years. That's the rule in the book.

There's the card... it's only missing one name. I have heard rumors of King tring to get another fight together for Brewster that day, but it won't be against Ruiz. WBO belt is really not of any intreset to those holding the WBC, WBA or IBF. WBO makes it hard to hold thier belt and someone elses. If Brewster does fight it will be another WBO prospect. King has a young WBO prospect that I'm sure he'd love to add to this card.
