What next for the the real deal

Post by dan h »

Rather than worry about what fights are coming up for the WWE (Wood mundine green) does anyone know if Daniel Geale is negotiating a fight soon? I am really keen to see what his next step is. Hopefully a world title, he seems to be getting better and better every fight and his last performance was awesome.

Also keen to know what is next for Zappa and Katsidis and if Willie Kickett is ever going to fight again? Does any one know?

Zappa is training with the Penrith Panthers, and is finally getting a bit of spot light with the media, Miguel Vazquez won his fight recently to defend the title, so he should be next.

Katsidis will not fight for a bout 8 months imo, so don't hold your breath on that for a while, when he comes back i hope he go's for a easy title shot so he can at least say he was a belt holder at that weight, then maybe move up, IMO the 2nd best LT weight in the world easily.

Kickett needs to exercise some demons, a fight with Elomar would be fantastic.

Daniel Geale, what about wood , while waiting for Sylvester.

Do you want him to take them for a run or put them on a treadmill?

The word you are looking for is exorcise.

geale shouldnt wait around for his mandotory against sylvester or whoever it is. its best he stay busy, though the opponent/s have to be at least as good as karmazin, some one like manfredo jnr would be good.

TFDU, I 'm pretty sure that Sammy Soliman has a fight with Manfredo Jnr lined up for early next year, could be wrong, but thats what I've heard.

Thanks Brute, your still spelling Bee champ :TU:

Good call. I hope he doesn't just wait around for a that fight. I also hope that if he does take a fight in the interim it is another top ten type fighter, if he wants a Title reign he needs to stay sharp. I hope his last PPV was successful for him so he feels comfortable bringing another good opponent here.

Yep, Sam told me during a training session four weeks ago that he is fighting Manfredo Jr. for his next fight.

the card seemed to get good coverage in the papers and on tv so anither good opponent is possible. manfredo is fighting some other guy so a geale v soliman is a good choice, sam will fight anyone anywere it would seem and im sure he could give daniel some hard rounds.
a better option would be going to have a fight in the states, someone like david lopez or andy lee

I've read somewhere that Sylvester is not too keen on the fight, which is why he's fighting his next opponent so soon and will more than likely vacate.

I believe Sam is still ranked 11th for the IBF with Daniel being the number 1 contender, so maybe a title fight between the two.

I would much, much rather Geale actually beat a Title holder to win a Title...

I've been keeping a close eye on this Simon for the past 2 years mainly because he seems to fight every month, i kept thinking to myself they're fast tracking this git to a title. He's fought 21 times since his pro debut June ''08'' .

Sam should be way too much, but i feel zee German judges will be too harsh on Sammy.

I think Marlin is trying to say there's more substance in beating a champion than fighting for a vacant title.

Sam Soliman the current IBF pan Pacific Middle champ, and looks set to collect IBF Inter-Continental middleweight title on the 1st of April when fighting German Benjamin Simon.

Looks more and more like an Aussie showdown in the near future.

Exactly dawg, there are too many vacant title shots handed out these days. But as big red says I'll be happy if he takes on good fights either way.

i know, thats y i said true. i agree totally, it would be much better to see him dethrone a champ. and if tht wasnt an option, then they could have a look at a 2nd eliminator fight, so that the #1 contender cant just hand pick an opponent. at least then your forcing top fighters to fight( at least in that org.)
