Bizzare Bailey Belgium Bout.
Knockout king Randall Bailey took on local hero Said Ouali in Belgium last night, in a world title eliminator in Antwerp, of all places.
Floyd Mayweather was ringside, having signed up Ouali. Bailey is in the white boots, and had knocked down Said in the first round.

Should definitely be a DQ though, how he had the nerve to pump his fists in celebration I have no idea.

If you watch it he's clearly not pumping his fists in celebration, he's holding his hands up as if to say 'I didn't mean to do it'.Scottrf wrote:No Contestbigped wrote:DID IT END IS A DSQ?

Looks like you are right actually, makes more sense.Deserter wrote:If you watch it he's clearly not pumping his fists in celebration, he's holding his hands up as if to say 'I didn't mean to do it'.Scottrf wrote:No Contestbigped wrote:DID IT END IS A DSQ?

Still completely bizarre though isn't it? He almost looks as if he was trying to sit him down on the turnbuckle and missed but god knows what was going through his head given he had the fight in the bag.Scottrf wrote:Looks like you are right actually, makes more sense.Deserter wrote:If you watch it he's clearly not pumping his fists in celebration, he's holding his hands up as if to say 'I didn't mean to do it'.Scottrf wrote: No Contest

Not saying the incident makes sense just his reaction! No idea what he thought was the best that could happen.

Yeah Bailey can't believe what he's just done, what an idiot!
Re: Bizzare Bailey Belgium Bout.
Don't worry, didn't mean to phrase it as if I was questioning you - was more just a chatty 'mental though isn't it' rather than a direct response to what you'd postedScottrf wrote:Not saying the incident makes sense just his reaction! No idea what he thought was the best that could happen.

very bizarre , but i dont think it was deliberate .
Re: Bizzare Bailey Belgium Bout.
It makes Dempsey-Firpo look tame. The fighter could have been paralysed from that fall.
Re: Bizzare Bailey Belgium Bout.
I think he meant the first bit (to lift him up) but not the second (the chap's unfortunate exit). That could have been really bad.MightyWarrior wrote:Yeah Bailey can't believe what he's just done, what an idiot!

It looks like Bob Mee on the mic at ringside. It would be interesting to know what Bob said about it.

Re: Bizzare Bailey Belgium Bout.
he just tries to sit him on the turnbuckle and messes up and should be punished for it. Just because he was winning you can't do that and expect to be rewarded with a title shot of sorts. Just sheer stupidity. Proper Question of Sport what happened next moment in the making though.
