Amir Khans chin

Does anyone else think its slightly weird how Khan has gone from having a poor chin to having an almost granite one going on the number of big shots he took last night?!Before anyone says it,yes you can improve punch resistance and going upto 140 has probably done that but you dont go from being a guy who gets put on his butt by the likes of willie limond to taking the amount of shots he took last night off a guy with a 90% ko ratio!Personally and I know im going to get grief for this but personally i think its suspicious!If khan had one last night but not taken that many big shots then i wouldnt find anything wrong with it but the number of right hands,uppercuts,etc he was getting hit with and not going down was abnormal in my opinion going on his history!

Did you ever consider he was caught cold against Prescott? I'm not saying he's iron chinned but look at the shot he actually knocks him down with, it's huge, so are the ones that follow. His reaction to that jab was bizarre though.

I see what you're saying but what about gomez and limond who had come up from super-featherweight and in limonds case was pretty feather fisted?!Also Maidana is a bigger puncher than prescott,if you look at prescotts record he hasnt knocked a top level fighter aside from khan out!

HGH,improves bone density which affects punch resistance,not saying he's definietly on it but i found that weird!

Wasn't a Margarito type chin, he was clearly in a lot of trouble. He has improved his conditioning, balance and isn't killing himself to make weight.

The old "it's the shots you don't see that put you down line" holds true. If you are seeing the shots coming in, you are far less likely to get stretched. That is the explanation.

He looks sturdier at LWW but I think the main reason his chin is better is he now knows what to do when he's hurt instead of recklessly firing back be moves on his feet away from the punches! I think this again is thanks to Freddie Roach

This is the reason I think his chin has improved, his legs seem much stronger now and due to this his balance seem much better. Also I think the muscles around his neck are far better developed too. Moving up in weight has meant he can put this extra muscle on. Couple this with a much improved defence and we now have a very good fighter with the potential to go much further.

Ridiculous isn't it. Saying that 'putting just over a stone on in 18 months is super natural' is ridiculous too. Pacquiao has gone from weighing 130 at the weigh in to weighing 144-145 at the weigh in. Even for a guy of 5ft6 I see nothing out of the ordinary there, especially when you consider he would have cut weight to make 130.
