The one thing Tony Bellew lost this weekend is 'most avoided light heavyweight in Britain' as there will be a pretty long engaged tone on a phoneline a certain Manchester gym this morning. I can see plenty of fighters wanting a crack now.

If the Mcintosh fight doesn't come off for Bellew then I think it could happen.

I for one would like to see it.

McKenzie is a great pro who deserves a rematch - much like Jimmy Vincent

I don't think he deserves a rematch if I am honest. I saw a bit of a "sparring partners" mentality there. I'm not saying he would have cause a stoppage but the way Tony went down in the 2nd..... He should have followed it up. Reminded me of Jones vs Calzaghe.

If he believed he could win he should have seized his chance - especially after the first KD also. He knew everytime he caught him he could (potentially) get Tony going, so why on earth didn't he.

He ruined his opportunity, nope doesn't deserve a rematch.

The reason he never pressed so hard after he knocked me down is cos he felt everything I hit him with and I think deep down he was hurting all the time off the body shots but I'll be honest it went two ways ;-)

For a split second it looked like a brutal KO. I think it is down to stability. What is your thoughts on moving up Bomber? You mentioned it post fight.

i had you 1 round up going into the round in which it ended , as much as i and many others felt it was stopped too early and that he wasnt given the same chance that you got after your second knockdown , i do believe that the tide had turned and you was going to become more dominant for the remainder of the bout , would i like to see a rematch ? of course it was an exciting fight , but your still learning and im sure you will take things from that fight that would make his efforts in a rematch futile , imo you showed you can take a punch , yes you went down but the fact you got up from that 2nd knockdown was a great show of heart and how much you can take , i think if you moved a bit more and keep you jab going and tighten up your defence a touch youll be far better fighter i doubt youll agree but your not ready for cleverly yet but he didnt exactly put in a classic performance himself , deal with mcintosh first and see where things lie from there , if nothing is available at that point then rematch ovill , im sure it would work out differently next time but at this point in time you dont need the rematch for anything other than proving a point , theres also a possible move up in weight , which seems to have done wonders for khan

66-65 Bomber at end of 7th (for me). Then the big 8th for Tony.

Yes he was up on 2 of the scorecards and you were both level on the other, but at the end of the day you won the fight so is does not matter who was up on the scorecards.

I gave Ovill 1 other round, so had it 66-65 Ovill at the end of the 7th.

Bomber was very frustrating to watch to be honest. For a guy with good offensive skills, that's 2 fights on the trott he's made it hard on himself. Defence is quite an important skill to learn as well though! Even after the first two disasterous rounds I was sure he'd still come through. Having said that I don't think he'll be able to claim being avoided from now on.

I don`t see Tony Bellews people taking a rematch, no matter if Tony himself would like to.

I do however, see them making the Cleverly fight sooner rather than later...

id normally say it depends on how big a ticket seller he is , but seeing as warren matched smith with degale who knows , id advise bomber not to take that fight himself just yet though , although im sure he will feel hes capable of winning it , in fact hes said as much , but think theres creases to iron out first

ovil need's it straight away because he cant get opponent's not even at cruiser as his promoter cant fund it.

bellew need's a good rest & an easy night at a comftable weight & then a return closer to the cruiserweight limit were ovils shot's will bounce of tony & scare the life out of him as he will get closed down & knocked CLEAN out chillingly.

fw will have other plan's regardless

It's frustrating when he neglects his boxing skills. For the first 3 rounds against Ajisafe he looked fantastic. Nearly had Ajisafe out after teeing him up with the jab. When Bomber got decked against Ajisafe he then seemed to go for the one big shot.

It was the opposite against Mckenzie. Tony started off looking for the big one, then after getting floored twice, he started to box properly. This shows a significant improvement to me, from his fight against Ajisafe - the fact he didn't panic but instead actually kept calm, and started to box.

if he was to step up to cruiser i reckon tyrone wright http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_ ... &cat=boxer would be the ideal first opponent , ranked 5th on boxrec too so hed jump to a good cruiserweight position ,that would probably put him straight into a british title position ,

John-Lewis Dickinson would be good too.

Score to settle after Bomber flattened him in the ABAs.

Whats happening with Dickinson? After losing 2 on the spin with facial injuries, it must be demoralising!

Categorically Bomber was down on two cards, up on one, all scores close. I was checking the cards when Tony poked his head out the ring to say hello.

And there is the key point, which one will FW sacrifice when the time comes? You know he will do it when the time is right for the FW machine. IMO needs to move up, fvck Cleverly, he has his own problems to iron out. As an fan I would rather see him at his full potential, and that is not LH.

i think frank may make it soon as tony is on borrowed time & like you said he's got plenty of time up at cruiser & i'll go on the record & say if the likes of mcory & nelson can win a world title this kid has every chance :!:
