as to a top 10 p4p rating, it will hinge on whetehr khan is able to make it to the top of the light welterweight division. in other words, wait for alexander v braldey and face the winner.

Agreed, otherwise he'll need JMM and a series of contenders. They are talking about full unification which would be exciting. Judah is been talked about in the interim, which is pretty dangerous imo

His chin has looked bad, but with a tighter defense and more selective punching he won't be hit as flush and as he matures his chin will get better with his man strength - basically his legs and neck developing to support his chin, going up in weight will help his chin no end too. Plus the harder sparring at roach's gym will help too

Golden Boy own the Ring magazine. They will 100% put either Bradley or Alexander in the top 10, so cynics cant complain if Khan is victorious and rockets into top 5 with wins over Malignaggi, Maidana and Bradley/Alexander.

As myself and Gobbles stated a long time ago and got laughed at practically by the whole forum, Chin's can be funny things at time. You can your fighters who cannot seem to take any decent punch (e.g. Herbie Hide) but then there are others who just seem to defy any logic.

Take Anthony Mundine as a recent example. The man took some nice shots by Danny Green, who is categorised as some puncher. Yet gets KO'd by Sven Ottke and now this week got KO'd. Enzo Maccarinelli... okay no one is going to ever claim he is Marciano esque chin, but given his recent form who would have ever thought he could take Wayne Braithwaites best shots.

I think alot of Khan's chin's issues were down to weight and his general recklessness. Those have been eradicated. I still don't think he is particularly sturdy in the whiskers, but he is getting his man strength now.

I remember DLH being hurt several times in his early pro career. I remember BM doing "awards" for their December (or January) 1995 edition presenting giving an award to DLH insuinating that Chavez was just going to walk all over him and Kostya would have fun with him. Off course six months later Chavez was a geriatric and it was ALWAYS going to be a gross mismatch and Oscar timed it perfect. Oscar though has been since regarded as having one of the best chins of his generation - Amir will NEVER have that, but with "man strength" and making the right weight it can help.
