Nah, they would both get destroyed too. All three should look at fighting each other. Martinez and the likes are far too good for them. Different level completely.

They would all be foolish to turn it down if given the chance though. This is Boxing and he is the top man, have to take it if it ever comes along.

I'm as close as you'll get to a macklin fan on here and i would predict nothing beyond a one-sided beatdown for macklin

martinez, one of my fave fighters, will brutally expose lee, and probably make a lot of money, which he deserves to do given his recent form during an extremely hot schedule.

glad that martinez has an 'event' fight, a good stage on which to perform.

maybe lee can make a fight out of it, due to his size and apparent talent. but it's a massive step up in class. chavez jr might have been a better challenger, as he can at least fight inside. but chavez - with his latin fury PPVs and milking of his dad's name - has more to lose.

glad HBO turned down zbik, a boring fighter albeit a top contender (just about).

hope one of the good middleweight contenders - and there are plenty of 'em (golovkin, njikam, geale, macklin, barker) - will step up. don't want to see martinez deplete himself for one of those catchweights vs someone like cotto, who got thrashed in his last big fight.

Lee lacks natural speed and his defence is not great either, both of which leave him there to be hit by champion's quick, dangerous counters.
Frankly, you begin to wonder if Emanuel Steward, who backs Lee, knows that his man lacks the ability to stay around at the top for long, so why not chuck him in for a big payday. Lee will flog plenty of tickets among the sentimental Irish fraternity in New York and can fall back on a rematch with Brian Vera, the only man to beat him, or an all-Ireland showdown with John Duddy in defeat, and he will wind up defeated. Fairytales in New York began and ended with The Pogues and Kirsty MacColl.

i have to say one thing i always liked about lee is his speed and power
