Yep Dann is a good operator at this level and showed that by KO'ing Halder early and Halder had been talking a good fight before hand, Dann has power at British level. Elcock looked good before he got caught cold by Murphy (that's all it was IMO) and i can't forget that masterful beating he gave Farnell. Elcock to win this one for me

The night before the Midlands Awards dinner which could be a big celebration for Wayne, I know he was there last year

I still think Dann will do it because of home advantage, he has learnt a lot from his loss to Eastman and is devastating at Plymouth 8 out of 8 so far and all stoppages, but it should be a real cracker while it lasts.

Elcock's chin is dodgy and Dann can really whack. I fancy Dann inside 2 rounds with a clean knockout.

I'd have preferred Lockett, but this is still a good match.

You have to hand it to Chris and Jamie. It's no accident they've won the right to stage Brtish title fights. They're good people and don't cheat the fans.

Elcock is tricky and the emphatic nature of his last win is worth noting, but roared on by his Plymouth faithful I'll say Dann to win by stoppage again.

Thanks, we are delighted to have won the bids.

It was very important to get home advantage for our man as you can see from the split opinions on this thread its an even fight. Like Kevin said Scott has always performed his best in front of his home crowd and for you guys that have not been down to Plymouth the crowd creates one hell of intimidating atmosphere. We had to give our man the best chance possible.

Lets hope its on TV as Plymouth is a hard place to get to and the British public deserve to see a 50/50 fight for a proper title similar to Power v Robinson the other day. It would be great to showcase Scott and also Lee Haskins who is an exciting talent.

The show will be on Friday 15th July, Plymouth Pavilions.

Oh bollocks (re:the fight being in Plymouth), I suppose it was always on the cards though. Lets hope Sky get hold of this one, its a decent evenish contest with Dann starting slight fav with the bookies I reckon, but Elcock is gonna box his ears off for 5 rounds then KO him.

Come on Wayne give us midlanders someone to cheer on at home.

Its a bit harsh to say Elcock has a dodgy chin, he got caught by a beauty against Murphy, but other than that hes not had any problems

Goddamit!! I hope this one's shown on the telly. Only seen one Dann fight, against kreshnik qato. I reckon Dann will score a come from behind KO around the 6th or 7th round

Christ, it's Plymouth not Ulan Baator!

£105 for London types to fly down Friday and bog off again the next day (as you're all either city traders or something in the media I'm sure you wouldn't bend down to pick up a ton if you dropped it in a puddle). £67 quid if you want to come down on Wednesday and enjoy the delights of God's Own Country for a few days first. For those working in the Health service, there's always the MegaBus for £2.50 return, as long as you don't mind sharing with students and pikeys.

It's about £30-35 from Brum to Plymouth on the train if you book plenty in advance. The missus and me go up to Birmingham a few times a year to see the outlaws, and we've found that it can actually work out cheaper to do the Virgin Value fares from Plymouth to Brizzle, then Brizzle to Brum.

Hopefully I'll see a couple of you guys there.

not being funny mate but i can see british titles in London once a month why go to plymouth its a five hour hike there and 5 hrs back. It woudl have to be a special trip bro

tho its a good idea for a boys beano sometime!!!

unfortuantly im already doing Manc for hatton which is setting me back a monkey all told, im not made of money.

Bit of useless trivia for you all..... this will be the third midlander Dann has boxed for the British title and the first two (Bendall and Halder) were both beaten inside the distance.

Some may argue Elcock is the best of the trio, but I'd personnaly rate Steve Bendall higher, but might agree Wayne's style could pose Scott more problems to solve.

I don't think Elcock has a dodgy chin, of course it is not conclusive either way but i just think he got caught with one of those punches, caught cold on the top of the head and was sparked. I don't think he is weak chinned or that the novice Murphy was a huge puncher as the embarrassed SKY team tried to make out, it was just a well timed punch.

Glenn earnt well out of the game. He has a nice house and lives with his wife and 3 kids in Bristol. He has his own removals businesss aptly named Catley's Removals. Still pops in the gym once in the while and asks dad to see if he can find out whether Markus Beyer wants to defend his title. Dad reassures him that he's the last boxer Beyer and the germans want to see!
