Haye offers Wlad 50:50 split

Post by doctorboxing »

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/boxing/9293972.stm

Haye has bowed down to the outrageous demands and offered the real world champion heavyweight half of the money to fight him.... what a guy

Seriously, I hope this was the major stumbling block and that the fight can be made soon.

Yeah me too. Should just stop making excuses and split it down the middle.........until then they should both shut up about who is better and who is more deserving.

Just fight!

Read elsewhere that Wlad has turned his nose up at the split.
Its so frustrating being a boxing fan. Imagine if Federer and Nadal had to go through months of negotiations before they played each other, just to show the other one who had the bigger cock.

Can we phrase it Haye says he "offers Wlad 50:50 split". None of us really know what's in the contract.

Each camp has said the same about the 50/50 split ...

After Haye pulling out each time against both brothers with an excuse. I tend to believe more what the K-brothers say on the matter.

I'm sure I watched Boente on ringside saying that all they ask for is 50-50 otherwise this fight doesn't happen.

From the little chat he had with Booth on that very programme it seemed that the Klits knew the big money comes from the British market, hence the reaqson why they didn't want to keep all the German revenue, let Haye have the British revenue and split the rest.

if this fight gets made, and we actually make it to fight night without one of them getting a "bad back", I'm still not paying fifteen quid to watch it unless they put on a decent undercard.

Seeing that both appear to be so confident, why not have winner takes all?

Reckon Haye will be out earlier than that. Haye's lack of work and just dancing for most of his fights with his chin out will be his undoing.

According to Bonte, Haye wants more than 50-50. He wants an additional $500,000 which he says is the difference between what ARD and RTL will pay for the fight.

Take it with a pinch of salt mate. In the past BS has reported inaccuracies about Haye Klitschko negotiations. A good example of which is when Reeno reported that Klitschko was going to be fighting Arreola. The next day the I'll-fated Haye contract was signed.

Sorry Shag, you do sterling work for them. But I have a real bug bear for that guys biase towards anti-Haye stories.

Looks like Adam Booth is making up this offer from ARD claiming they've offered $500,000 more than RTL for the fight (the company the Klitschkos have a contract with). There is however, no evidence of an offer from ARD anyway. I can't blame the Klitschkos for asking for evidence of this offer before they cough up an extra $500,000 themselves for this fight. Presuming the extra would be split 50/50 that's $250,000 extra for David Haye .

Looks to me this fight might not happen because of $250,000 about £161,727.

The "evidence" comes from Boente himself stating on Ringside a few weeks back when he said (and I paraphrase) the additional amount from the other German broadcasters is a drop in the ocean, no more than about £500k which we (the Klitschko team) will stump up to keep it on RTL (and not break the RTL contract)

Probably for the best, even when it's finally signed it'll be at least 4 months till the fight, you'd probably do yourself a mischief. :D
You can tell you're a Bolton fan. We both have the same shite sense of humour.

Haye has just said on his twitter page that the deal is 50/50 and he is happy to go with RTL also. IF, that is true then what the fcuk are we waiting for?? Let's get it on!
