Thanks for the info, it confirms what most people are thinking.
Well that about says it all - he'll call out domestic fighters but has no desire to make the fights happen, so why trash talk about a world class fighter.

Fury needs to prove himself. I personally think larry would beat him easily and thats not just because he posts on here. I said degale would beat smigga and he posts on here.

Price v Fury is a fight i would like to see.

But Larry just took nine rounds to "smash" Paul Butlin.

Can't wait for someone to shut Fury up once and for all, it would be ok if he backed up his talk with brilliant performances but 9 times out of 10 he comes in fat, throwing arm punches, non existence defence. When he really puts power on his jab and works of it he's so much better but he never does it for long enough, he wants to throw little arm punches at mid range taking shots! I think they should put him in with Sprott, with the winner going in with Del Boy

domestically the heavyweight division is quite strong although not great, talent wise, however there are some interesting matches to be made.

if Fury remains on his current path he will be lucky to rise above domestic level, he needs to start getting serious about the game.

First of all it was 8 rounds not 9, secondly Chisora couldn't stop him in 2 fights, thirdly he is a very durable, tough guy.

Tyson Fury has already got mandatory status to fight Derek Chisora as his second fight with John McDermott for the English title doubled up as eliminator for the British title.

Price would seriously beat Fury up.

Sexton would box his ears off and Chisora could do either to him.

I like a bit of brashness, but having seen the guy alot, his talent and his teams opinion of him are way, way too high.

As for Haye....Fury would get pulverised.

You beat me to it Larry :TU:

Fury is a lazy git, while fighters like Larry, Sprott and Price go about their business, get into shape and do so without slating the world champ. As someone mentioned boxing is probably the only thing Fury is good at so you would think he'd take it a bit more seriously.

I like both guys so it wasn't intended as a criticism of Larry. My point was merely that, whatever you think of Fury, I'm sure we'd all agree he's better than Butlin, so saying Larry would smash Fury in two rounds when he's coming off a late-rounds win over Butlin sounds a little disingenious.

OK, not sure where I got that from! But rounds aside, "smash" suggests dominance. I just don't think it would be as easy as all that, even allowing for Fury's flaws. He has fought and beaten some better guys than Larry has, after all.

I said: "Haye would smash him, so would Larry"

In my opinion Haye would overwhelm Fury in a round or two, while Larry would outwork him, landing some heavy shots on the way to a points victory.

Fury is so overhyped, and much of it is his own doing, not the press.

I'm not going to hinge it on the Butlin performance, he's a durable fella but no yardstick or indication of how Fury v Larry would go.

I just think he's got a hiding coming his way and it will be at domestic or Euro level, he'll get nowhere near a world title unless he gets in shape and has a change of attitude.

He seems to be making steps by moving to the US to train, so we'll see.

But in many peoples eyes he's already robbed McDermott of a win, he's clung on to the belt and someone like Larry, Chisora or Price would take it from him.

PS Happy New Year pal, did you hear Moz has had another kid?

I have mixed feelings about him. I certainly see the flaws, but on the other hand he's very young and relatively inexperienced, including as an amateur. He's also being matched better than most HW prospects, so that explains to some degree why he doesn't always appear to sparkle as much as one would imagine for a hyped HW hope. The potential is certainly there, but of course I can see where improvement can be made, and I hope he addresses this.

And I don't mind the trash talk. Many boxers do it and it never offends me.
