Şamil Sam needs liver transplant

Bit of a shocking story, Samil Sam collapsed last week after feeling ill, he was diagnosed with liver failure and put in intensive care. He now needs a liver transplant.

Samil Sam hadn't fought since 2008, he was known over here for beating Danny Williams and Julius Francis.

let's hope he gets well. I remember seeing the Williams fight and being both shocked and impressed. I think he then went the distance with Oliver McCall in the last couple years...altho he was probably favourite at the time.

There have been reports that alcohol is a major part of this. But nothing confirmed. He was a brave boxer, here's hoping he can pull through

And you need a brain transplant, the threads about poor Sam's health problems not ANOTHER pop at Harrison (the same Harrison who's a millionaire a few times over and probably doesn't care one iota what some non entity on an Internet forum thinks of him)

Sam was one of my favourite fighters to watch. He was tough, gutsy but inconsistent.
But when he was good, he was GOOD.
