Does anyone have any confirmation for the supposed KO Tut Jackson won over Jeff Smith in 1922? Id like to see even a second hand source for this bout (news wire etc.) I find the result hard to believe and would be very interested in seeing a ringside account.

What was your source for it?
Maybe someone later on confused Jeff Smith with Pat Smith?
Which according to boxrec was Tut Jackson's pro debut in June 1921 in Ohio.

I have no source for it. I have an advertisement for it and Boxrec lists it as a KO win for Tut of which I am skeptical.

Here is a book about Battling Siki that mentions it.
I suspect their source was boxrec though.

looks like Boxrec has since removed it from Tut Jackson's ring record.
Since it was reported but not confirmed(for the time being anyway).
