Just wondering where the Brownes went? Tommy hasn't fought since Lenny Zappvigna stopped him with a body shot a few years back? Is it safe to assume he's retired? Will never forget the fight with Willie Kickett - awesome display of what Australian boxing can be. One of the best domestic fights I've seen in recent years to be honest.
Also, where did Davey go? After coming back from a loss to Billy Dib he hasn't been seen since. Would've thought he'd come back, but after an extended period off it seems and and less likely. Sorry guys, just want to know what happened to two of my favourite domestic fighters?
Where did the Brownes go?
Re: Where did the Brownes go?
Both had realized that pro boxing (these days) is nothing short of absolute shite
Like it or lump it...it's Show Biz, in aid of sanctioning organizations & its junket boys who feel the need to fill vacant space between their ears.......and.......hopefully, enlarge their head :P

Pro boxing these days is shite? easy AntonS maybe you have some problem but this is my number one sport and with you saying its shite wont help. So please keep your negative statements to yourself. ![[icon_shame.gif] :shame:](./images/smilies/icon_shame.gif)

Will do, but at end of the day it's still Show Biz bullshit whichever you slice it.colin russell wrote:Pro boxing these days is shite? easy AntonS maybe you have some problem but this is my number one sport and with you saying its shite wont help. Been around for quite some time & have clear understanding what regional titles is about
Re: Where did the Brownes go?
BTW, I ditched AntonS as I'm no longer BoxRec editor/contributor
Re: Where did the Brownes go?
regional titles have been around since adam was a boy, and FIGHTERS have been proud to wear the belt, whether it be mangrove mountain or gold coast, it is only the grubs behind the scene, and our socalled worldbeaters ,one less after the wood fight.i,ve seen some great fights lately that would hold there own in any era, and i,ve been through a few era,s, i hope you were referring to your mate and his cronies and not the boys that put their heart and soul in it, at least they are having a go, maybe it is best you got the seat, coming out with negatives like that. all the bestDa Voice wrote:BTW, I ditched AntonS as I'm no longer BoxRec editor/contributor

These days, I simply dislike regional organizations. Most are nothing short of being dodgy used car yards.
If I was an official, I wouldn't be seen dead officiating most of shite they sanction these days. I'm talking about our region & not just Oz.
