Re: Ray Robinson HOF Vote
My vote is: YES! Without a doubt
Robinson was just basically the BEST!!! All across the board, he ticked all the boxes:
He spent the most weeks as The Number One.
He had the BEST record.
He was the most successful boxer this season.
The man has accumulated 19 World Titles, how can you tell me that this is not HOF form?
Surely that is enough. What more could the man do?
Lastly, I believe that if we were to include Robinson to The Hall, it would make the Hall better. It would be a discredit to the HOF if he isn't inducted.
All politics aside, he was THE MAN!

Robinson had 28 wins, not 26. Aside from that, solid stat keeping as usual....
Re: Ray Robinson HOF Vote
No. Yes if he dominated last few weeks, but he didn't. He got beat twice.
Re: Ray Robinson HOF Vote
That's correct. My eyes slipped and I was looking at Armstrong's tally.armageto wrote:Robinson had 28 wins, not 26.
Re: Ray Robinson HOF Vote
My vote is yes......
Some might say no because Robinson ( I assume) was the highest rated fighter this season. I'd like to think other fighters were in the same ball park ratings wise and accomplished less, some a lot less. So in that thinking, if Robinson doesn't get in, I can't see anybody.
Not only did he gather up a massive amount of belts, but only one CPU fighter was fought, and that's because nobody would fight him that week. Ray always tried to fight the top people, week in and week out. Compare his accomplishments to other people in the HOF and SRR has probably done more than all of them.

Re: Ray Robinson HOF Vote
Yes, Basilio beat him twice, might I add.
Re: Ray Robinson HOF Vote
Yes.
*Even crease could have guided this nuclear power to dominate within this season. All geto had to do was get out of the way.....which he did brilliantly.

Re: Ray Robinson HOF Vote
I'll add my vote of yes, and that makes it 11-2 in his favor.
