My vote is: NO

Leonard did fantastic to win the Million Dollar Tournament, there is no doubt about that. But he didn't achieve as much as other fighters who aren't being considered for The Hall.

Basillio was a 2 time Undisputed Champion, he done more than Leonard. And Leonard's success is comparable to Walker, who was also a Tournament winner and 1 time Undisputed champ.

Leonard spent most of his time throughout the season underachieving. He was a top contedner, but he was not dominant. :shame:

Yes, and here's why:

Had a slow start to the season (going 4-6-1 in his first 11 fights) and was entered into the Million Dollar Tournament which he won at a canter.

After winning the Tourney he only lost to two more fighters, and both losses were avenged brutally later on.

Won all the titles with a stunning first round KO of the Sim's best fighter and went on to defend his Lineal Title a further four times (including another explosive performance against Napoles)

In beating Robinson, Napoles, Armstrong and Pacquaio he has beaten all other HoF eligible fighters.

People will look at his record and see a number of CPU of 'weaker' fighters on there, but SRL only ever fought these fights due to lack of opportunity against Manager controlled fighters. Even so, he fought his way into title contention and finished as the Number 2 fighter in the Commissioner rankings.

He beat, amongst others

Henry Armstrong
Miguel Cotto
Manny Pacquiao
Jack Britton
Ted Lewis
Pernell Whitaker
Joe Walcott
Emile Griffith
Carmen Basilio
Wilfred Benitez
Ray Robinson
Jose Napoles
Floyd Mayweather

The season stopping 5 fights early has put a dent in SRL's HoF hopes, but I still feel he did enough to gain entry into the hallowed Hall of Fame

I want a recount. SRL deserves to be in the HoF.

Normally I would have said NO.. But if Frazier does get into the Hall because he pulled the four major titles together to become Undisputed Champion - then there should definitely be a back-log of investigations on former HOF candidates.
