Real name Jimmy Williams.
I just read in a book that he was a suspected enforcer for the mob and possibly also a hit-man for them too.
Anyone have any more info concerning his life and his "career' outside of boxing?

As near as I can tell,when the Chicago police picked up Kid Riveria under suspicion that he was involved with the
contract killing of a Chicago Alderman in March 1963.
He was listed as being 37 years old.
in another article when he was arrested for running a gambling operation in his home in
April 1964,he is listed in newspapers as 38 years old.
Which would mean if my math is correct,he was probably born in 1926.
(and possibly in St.Louis were he started his boxing career in 1944)

Also Kid Riviera or rather Jimmy Williams had another alias.
