Boxers that will break through in 2011

Post by wrimc »

Which prospects will break through this year into championship level domestically? Give your reasons and how far you think they will go?

My pick is Joe Selkirk recently coming off a solid if a little bit rusty win over steve Omeara will look to be pushed on this year and could pick up the commonwealth belt at LMW i think it is currently vacant after Watson won it against the african this year? After a number of hand problems he is back to full fitness and should look to put a good string of wins together this year to announce himself as a force in the division

id like to see david price moved along alot quicker than he has been before he gets a bit stale fighting journeyman all the time, think the better the opponent the better price will look he should be challanging for the british in the next year

There's a few guys that will want to break on to our domestic scene. My pick is Kris Carslaw. Recently win the light middle master belt stopping the durable Terry Cruthers moving to 12-0

Davey Savage JR looks like he could have a break through year domestically in 2011, obvisouly Frankie Gavin will be another break through along with Dave Price. I also think Rhys Roberts and Carl Frampton are going places this year!

Carl Frampton, Jamie Kavanagh and Paddy McDonagh

Three very different but very talented Irish fighters and will hopefully get the chance to make waves in 2011.

Coventry's Llewellyn Davies is 5-0(3)

Nice one. If you get a chance to speak to them and they're up for it I could do an interview with them for the Daily Post Wales, be nice for people over here to see how they're doing. If so please PM me their details. Cheers pal...

Llewy has got a great chance in prizefighter and if he gets it right could go places.
Karl place very good prospect.
Patrick mendy could break some hearts in 2011
Prince Arron will win his first major title next year as well.

Seen much of Nick, mate?

He really is a prospect. Fantastic from what I've seen. Shame he's had such a slow start to the pro game - hopefully he can put all his troubles behind him now because he will certainly make big noises in the domestic scene (at least).

Did you see him beat Swifty?

He's shown his potential in the few fights he's had so far as a pro (barring the unlucky cuts loss).
