It seemed like Jones threw a 100 punch flurry in the second round against Karass, but he shot his wad doing it, and imo got beat up over the next 6 rounds, and was very lucky to win a decision.
Yeah that's true, always thought they would give it him tho cuz he did look much the better fighter when he weren't gassed, that second round was hilarious he was like a man possesed anyone who ain't seen it check it out.
He's a bit of an enigma is Brook - His fans are a rabid lot telling us to 'wait and see'
I'm getting a bit sick of hearing about it - I like Brook, he looks a prospect, but if he is as red hot as people keep saying, I ask why isn't he being pushed forward more than he has been. He does seem to have been about forever, was surprised to see that he is only 24.
amir khan will not fight kell brook unless kell brook does something dramatic in the next year.. and i really dont see that happening, everyone is talking kell up but how many world class operators has he boxed i can seriously say none.. this fight wont happen 100% wil not happen!!

I think Frank is a little bit wary that if he does create a superstar and get them 'into the club' there's every chance that they will slam the club door in his face and go solo.
i guess he's had his fingers burnt a few times, but there must be a reason for that. These lads will look at the job Goldenboy have done with Khan and the fights Hatton got under his own steam and at some point Frank will have to deliver. To be fair DeGale has moved on at his own pace and perhaps he's the one forcing it with some smart contract negotiations and big performances, but a fighter like Brook really is going to have to step up massively in profile and oppoonent to have any chance of getting in the ring with any of the big boys.
The only way Khan is in the ring with Brook in next 18 months is if Kell somehow becomes a big name in his own right or if Amir suffers a surprising defeat and needs a big domestic fight to step back up. There's no way that Team Khan will be looking beyond Bradley/Alexander and then the likes of Berto
Im not completely sold on kell brook myself,Obviously theres a good chance that im wrong but like alot of others have said he needs to fight a credible opponents before i can really say he's anything to shout home about. That last guy he fought from ghana was atrocious!
I've seen the last few Brook fights and I'm not overly impressed to be honest. I thought he looked very untidy against Jennings in particular and I'm not sure he has the genuine ko power he thinks he has. He'd have to improve hugely to beat any of the top 6 or 7 guys at Welter which is one of the most competative divisions in the world. Just couldn't see him getting close to being competative with Mayweather, Pacman, Berto, Mosley or even Judah.
As for a fight with Khan, why should Khan move up to fight the guy? He brings nothing to the table at present except the fact that he is British.
If I were Brook, I'd concentrate on fighting some fringe world class fighters who will give him a decent test before even thinking of going for someone like Khan. At present, Jennings is the best name on his CV which says it all.
I love these "Spar Wars" stories, it kind of reminds me of that yank nutter who shot his bird, you know the one who claims he bettered Mayweather in sparring.

He did.
And the video is on youtube.
So it means nothing, put them in a real fight and Spadafora would have had his career ended.
Of course they'd take it, when has the bloke ducked a challenge?
He gave a decent account of himself vs Cotto before being stopped, trying his best to get in and out and use his attributes before the bigger and better man proved too much.
This is Brook we're talking about. Good? Yes. Great? Not by a long shot, not yet.
Quick to pull him out? With an eye injury, not because he was taking a pasting.

Amir khan would NEVER fight Kell brook because he knows kell would KO him. Thats why hes twitting away on twitter suggesting he did a number on brook in sparring. Which is a load of rubbish. Yes khan may be fast and fought better opponents but hes still got a weak chin and he knows it!
why do they do a public sparring session then we can all make our own minds up who would ko who.
Aren't they different weights? Brook is good but unproven at world level, Khan is really starting to put his mark on belonging in the elite of his division. (I think Martinez (11 stone) would KO Brook (10 stone 7))

That post is a complete joke.
Im no massive fan of Khan, but he regularly goes toe-to-toe with Pacman in sparring and so i dont really thing that Brook holds too many fears for Khan. With respect to Brook (who is a brilliant prospect) Khan has far bigger and more lucrative fish to fry at the current time.
Khan is a prizefighter and to suggest he partake in a public sparring session to prove he is better than Brook is not even worthy of a serious response.

That's not quite true. They've only had the two sessions. One when he first joined and then recently in the Phillipines
