hello brute, i found a bit about sid prior, apparently he was trained by ronnie james ,a british lightweight, he came out in the late 40,s, he fought tommy burns,he was also priors father-in -law, they had a fallout, prior wanted out of the contract, james said okay,$100 big ones was supposedly mentioned, a hell of a lot of money in those days, that part may not be correct,prior said no and hung his gloves up and went into a butcher shop, i can,t help you on the stew rumours, arthur larrigo fought prior,arthur said prior hit him everywhere but in the roof of his mouth,hope this helps, all the best
