If I get a taxi with Al Capone, would that mean that I am a gangster?

Of course not, don't be silly. :shame: :shame: :shame:[/quote]

So we've been riding around in a taxi with Al Capone, have we? OK, now I'm starting to wonder about you. What do you have in that violin case under your arm, anyway?

Pardon me, my good man, but he was speaking to moi! I think I might use it as my sig.

Speaking of songs (as in the other thread), your sign on name has an interesting derivation. Don't know why you're using it, or if you're aware of it or not...

"Goodnight Irene"

You can google that version and hear it, via Vietnam, oddly enough. I have more traditional taste and prefer the Weavers and Willie Nelson and Ledbelly, all of which I just listened to on Youtube. I wonder just how far back in history that song really goes, and what it is based upon.

Here's a long discussion on the derivation of the song, but nobody there really knows.

Old thread bump. I read something on another forum earlier by hhascup who posts here and is very knowledgeable and involved in boxing circles, that Marciano's wins over Lowry weren't kosher and a few other of his fights were set ups.
