I was a couple of seats away from a still mighty fine looking Helen Mirren at Mayweather v ODLH.

I once sat next to Angeline Jolie's Dad at a Bruce Springsteen concert....

However, I'm not into pace or name dropping......
I must've been sat within a vodka whiff of you as I was to the right behind Tom Jones at the corner post and think he was to the right of the Beckham's if memory serves.

Nevermind.

One day we'll meet.

My Dad and his mate used to race Banger cars with Peter (Beale) Dean (in the mid 70's). He used to think he was a right villain.

£60 but I wandered down early on to sample the atmosphere at ringside and never got moved on!
I took 6 or 7 pals with me who still haven't forgiven me for not coming back in the gods with them

I'm pretty sure Chad Dawson was on the bill, but it was empty when he was on

I had a whizz in the toilets with the shameless lads.

Then I sat next to Chris Kamara and his two sons for the Hatton Homecoming.

I got some pics.

One of the Shameless lads is good mates with Matty Hall. Forget the name. Shaggyknows him. The one that barks.

I forget his name, but one of them from Shameless played Michael Gomez in the film of his life. Was it released?!

I remember seeing the trailer at a do, somewhere in Manchester with Terry D..

It didn't finish production mate, I asked this about a month back and the answer I received was that it was canned due to a lack of investment even though they did make a trailer.

Daniel Day Lewis ringside at Carl Frampton v Yuri Veronin a couple of months ago. He got introduced to the crowd live on tv and he looked as if he was loving the boxing.

I was checking out of a hotel in Dublin just before Christmas, holding my son, and a very nice Irish fella and his charming wife were in the lobby smiling and playing with my boy.

After they left my wife pointed out it was Daniel Day Lewis and his missus. I've failed to notice (until someone else pointed them out) some pretty major celebs over the years....

Em - you are right, we've got to meet up. Are you going to Pac v Mosely?

Nah mate. I'm probably in Vegas for end of May or July 2nd UFC cards for my stag. However, if Haye Wlad is due for this date (it won't be Vegas folks, sorry) I'll go to Vegas end of May.

If it was 2008 Mosley Pacman would be a compelling matchup mate. You going? Free tickets again you scab?

good luck with the stag - as I think i've mentioned, my stag was in Vegas and we watched Corales v Castillo, for half of the lads, it was their first (and only) fight, those of us who had been to hundreds were telling them it was like losing your virginity to Beyonce.

Agreed its not a great match-up but cinco de Mayo weekend is nailed into the diary these days - so nailed in the various wives, girlfriends, kids etc cant complain. Pac late stoppage I suspect as the punishment gets too much for a slowing sugar Shane.

I do sometimes pay for tickets (but equally I'm happy to take corporate seats....)

It's Johnny Bennett that plays Liam Gallagher. Admittedly you and Law were up in the press conference at the time.

When I used to get into Sports Network shows (so at least six years ago), I was having a wander down at ringside early in the night of a Hatton card. I noticed a few pals of mine from Darlington.

About eight of the male cast of Corrie walked past a few rows in front and, presumably with reference to Ashley, one of the lads piped up too loudly, "Here, there's that bender from Coronation Street!"

The actors all heard but didn't know whether to laugh or act hard (which would have been a grave error).

I was on a course a while ago with someone who grew up in the same area as Ashley (I say Ashley) and he reckoned he was abit of a hard bastard and was in fights regularly due to his voice

When you say free tickets is this through the hotel as in when they do offers for the fight ie book a hotel room and get a free ticket for a fight because i have been wondering whether it would be worth emailing a the hotel to say im coming on a stag with 10 mates and we would like to book rooms but can we get free tickets to the fight. I have heard that often a very high proportion of the gate in vegas is through the casino offering free tickets this way
