Can't Vitali-Haye just be made instead now?

Post by Cyclops »

Vitali supposedly wants to fight 3 times in 2011. If he get's his fight with Solis out of the way in March, and beats him, then surely the July 2nd date can be Vitali-Haye instead? Or, better still, can't they just pay Solis to step aside so that Haye and Vitali can get it on earlier than July? Haye said he had earlier dates he offered Wladamir. Jesus, July is AGES away. I don't know what Wlad's game is, but I'm pretty sure Vitali would have the confidence in his ability and the stones to come over to Britain to fight Haye at an earlier date. I would actually prefer to see Haye-Vitali. It'd be a better fight: neither guy would be likely to end it with one punch, what with Vitali being more of a (admittedly powerful) volume puncher these days but still having a great chin (never been down) so I doubt Haye is going to stop him, despite probably being the harder puncher. It could actually be entertaining, as opposed to Haye-Wlad which I can't help thinking could be a total let down with both of them wary of each others power. Wlad jabbing and Haye attempting to mug and dance away like he did with Valuev.

Haye and Booth might be fuming now but they seriously need to think Vitali. As evidenced by Wlad's treatment of Chisora, the Klitschkos can do pretty much what they like with their opponents so surely they could work out something with Solis...

I really really hate being a boxing fan. And why I still care about seeing David Haye fight I dunno. But I do. It's so boring, isn't it? JUST F*CKING FIGHT!!!

Is this just like a hunch you have? It kind of makes sense, if you're a Klitschko anyway: Get the mandatory fights out the way (Solis and Chagaev) and the pointless 'obligation fight' then set up the big ones for the summer (Adamek and Haye), co-incidentally leaving Haye having to fight the brother who will 'definitely' beat him. Haye has been kind of annoying since he moved to heavy but he's made the right noise to become a big attraction, fights much more aggressively and to be honest Valuev is probably a more difficult proposition than anybody the brothers have faced recently (the detractors will rightly point out that it was a shocking 'fight', which is true, and the insane commentary by 'British commentator' Jim Watt who had Valuev winning, which was nuts and I'm sure had fans across the land screaming "What the f*ck! What fight are YOU watching?!" and the fact that Chagaev got easily served by Wlad. But Chagaev is damaged goods now, he hasn't looked good since Valuev) so I think he's earned the right to be seen as a legitimate number 3 in the division so he still has my begrudging respect.

I always kind of liked Wlad though (his Schwarzenegger-like "I will try, Manny" after Steward told him off for not KO'ing Chambers made him seem sort of human- I actually felt sorry for him- and was glad when he finally knocked out his pudgy, comparatively microscopic powerless over matched opponent) but this makes me ABSOLUTELY HATE HIM. I hope Haye outboxes Vitali and knocks his arse around the ring and back into politics. Until Haye fights a Klitschko, f*ck the heavyweights and f*ck the Klitschkos. What a load of horsesh*t. September? I'll be OLD by then.

To answer the title question: NO.
Because Vitali Klitchsko has a mandatory title defence against Solis.

Sillyman wouldn't block Haye vs Vitali if he knew how much it was worth to the WBC.

David just doesn't fancy the job, end of story.

Yeah its a hunch, but one that would make sense and vitali definatley fancies his chances. He could fight solis, haye could fight chagaev and then if both win meet later in the year.

Sillyman wouldn't block Haye vs Vitali if he knew how much it was worth to the WBC.

Haye knows wlad is the weeker of the two for sure, and it did make far more sense for him to fight wlad who has been ko'd by lesser fighters. Then make a mega fight with vitali if he wins, it would be better business wise and better for boxing.

If haye beat vitali which he would certainly be the underdog for (but if anyone has a chance its haye), then most people would expect him to beat wlad, and will he likely retire after september anyway, so wlad can avoid him. If haye looses to vitali wlad wont fight him anyway. So basically it looks to me like Wlad doesnt fancy his chances and is calling on vitali to sort out the difficult opposition once again!

So fair is fair targeting wlad was the best option all round.

I WONDER SOMETIMES IF WLADIMIR READS THESE BOARDS. DO A SEARCH ON MY POSTS. A LONG WHILE AGO I MADE A THREAD ABOUT HOW WLADIMIR NEEDED TO ADOPT A ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER PERSONALITY SUCH AS THATS SHOWN IN HIS LATE 80S MOVIES LIKE COMMANDO AND PREDATOR. I SAID HE NEEDED TO TRASH TALK MORE BE MORE COLOURFUL. SEEMS HE'S TAKING MY ADVICE EVEN IF IT IS A LITTLE LATE IN THE DAY AND THE HW DIVISION HAS BEEN ALLOWED TO DIE A SLOW PAINFUL DEATH SINCE THE EARLY 2000S.

Irrespective its haye who is running not the klitchkos. Whatever people say about them they have been dominan,t and have been willing to fight everyone
