Hennessy Sports win rights to stage European Super Fight.

Post by HS Press »

Hennessy Sports are pleased to announce that earlier today in Rome they outbid both allegedly and Double "A" Promotions (Andy Ayling) to stage the highly anticipated all British European Title Super Fight between Darren Barker and Matthew Macklin.

Promoter Mick Hennessy said "I’m delighted to announce that Hennessy Sports have won the rights to stage this well talked about mega fight and as per EBU rules we will be announcing the date and venue for this contest within the next 2 weeks."

Oh I so hope this happens! Will be a fight of the year candidate already.

Is there any hope of this being on TV? If not then I think I'll make a journey to see this fight.

Hennessy must be confident of getting this on the box, if it isnt then it's scandalous, probably wont go ahead anyway.

Franks probably got Macklin a interim title shot of some sort or a bigger money fight.

Can't see this going ahead on primetime, so chances are it will fall apart.

Wasn't Ayling park of Sports Network (R.I.P)?

I will be really upset if there is no TV for this fight. This is one of the best domestic matches for a long while.

No way Barker pulls out of this. We all know what sort of 2010 Barker had with his setbacks.

The only way this fights doesn't go ahead is if Macklin declines it.
