first off sky are wrong if they think khan should be ppv vs peterson. It should be on normal sky sports as im very sure the ppv buy rate will be quite poor.

now if they add haye who should take a fight before taking on wladimir then we do have a ppv card that will sell

haye vs chagaev
khan vs peterson

with a few good undercard fights would see the ppv do decent numbers.

but if they try and do a ppv for khan only = low numbers as ive said AND sky have already said they cant give another ppv date for haye then the only option is to put the 2 of them on together.

If they stick a few decent undercard matchups then this could be a good PPV. Maybe Groves against Quigley or Dobson or another tough Brit, maybe get another British title fight for good measure

cant see anything like this happening , as much as khan may like it to boost his money i dont imagine haye or wlad being too keen on giving some of the ppv money to khan , it would just be another reason for the talks to break down again

Some of the pay per view bills we have been "treated" to have been ridiculous.
Pay a monthly subscription to sky and get asked for more £ as soon as there is a decent name involved.

Think it's getting close to the point where I will be finding some live streaming online as it's very easy done.

Unfortunately, i think the Khan one will sell although it will depend on where it is held. If it's a 12-15000 arena it will do ok as sky will show endless replays of the Maidaina fight, Khan will be all over the media and really reach out to the casual red top fan. Won't be brilliant numbers but will probably do better than any of his previous PPVs

They arent going to put chisora v wlad on ppv are they?!

Well, we're kind of getting ahead of ourselves here aren't we? First of all Haye has to fight Chagaev and, if he beats him convincingly, beats him in better style than Wladamir, then it helps to erase the Harrison fiasco. After all, Chagaev is probably Wlad's best opponent isn't he? If Haye beats him more convincingly then that makes a statement.

At least Chagaev's a proper fight.

And to go back to the thread subject, it would be great if this was a double header PPV, but I can't see something as fan-friendly as this happening.

Wlad has only fought 2 world world champions because for much of his career he's held titles, though I only see 3 in Hayes career (Mormeck, macca and Valuev) and Wlad also twice faced Byrd when he was champion as well as Ibragimov, Chagaev should have been the 3rd

I was without a computer for a number of months so I couldn't see all the fights live or next day as I used to.

So no matter how bad the ppv's have been and there's been some stinkers I always jumped at every one at any cost to get live boxing on the t.v. and it's not like I've stacks of money under the mattress but this boxing bug hit me hard 17 years ago and like an addict I can never say no to live boxing especially when there's even a glimmer of watching a moment of boxing nirvana. Like the sport itself it often strikes you when you don't expect it so I soak up every moment for the chance of that high moment of drama.

Anyway the computers back and running so no more silly money. Some of the ppv cards Sky have got away with have been scandalous, sucking on the hardcore fans passion for the sport.

I won't be shelling out for anymore ppv myself unless there is a fight some of my casual boxing mates want to see and for others, a house is picked and the hardcore fans split the charge. Apart from those events I'm delighted to have the access to the fights again on my comp that I missed for nearly a year.

Wlad has boxed 10 former world heavyweight champions in his career not 2.

If Haye sticks to his retirement plan without fighting Wlad or Vitali then Haye is clearly delusional. Delusional to the fact that he will maintain his current profile after he retires and make millions outside the ring.

Currently Haye has a good profile in the UK but he does not fight on bbc or itv. Haye is not a household name yet. Great salesman but realistically he would be a fool to retire without a Klitschko bout.

Win, lose or draw one brother is a £5-10 million fight for haye, rematches and the other brother etc its potentially £30-50 million.

Yet he wants to retire in October, he says the brothers are busy fighting nobodies and stiffs yet who did Haye fight in his last fight?

If Haye does not fight a Klitschko and retires in October then its like winning the euromillions lottery on a rollover and then setting light to the winning ticket.
