Anyone know if Tony Bellew is fighting Darren Stubbs on the 19th Feb? It stated this on the FW web site but this is not listed on the schedule on here?
Thanks in advance

If it is Darren Stubbs then given by fight time my opponent will have had 8 weeks notice, as for being avoided?? Just a quote for the tough guy only that mate, I think Audley is the last fighter on the planet I'll ever be compared to in all honesty

What you looking to get out of this fight Bomber ? Stubbs is 39 and despite winning the last twice, he's not really worthy of a Commonwealth title fight in my book. Taken to points last time by Hastings Rasani who Mcintosh dispatched in three rounds. Stubbs is just a steady domestic level pro whos got a heavily padded record against 'opponents' at the end of the day. Mismatch.

Ive only seen Stubbs in the prizefighter,i thought he was quite tough...
Is this for the vacant British???

Re: Confused...Tony Bellew fight Feb?
This is what I don't understand. I understood that Bomber wouldn't give McKenzie if his next opponent was a step-up. This is a step-down, IMO. I would much rather see Bomber/McKenzie II. It would also make Frankie's next PPV easier to sell.

At least he's keeping busy and active? So long as the rematch happens.

Precisely, but I doubt it will happen if it doesn't happen within the next 6 months.orbtastic wrote:At least he's keeping busy and active? So long as the rematch happens.

Just bought tickets for this show. I've never been to York Hall before, only really been to the larger venues like the O2 Arena, MEN and Nottingham Arena so quite looking forward to it.
Presumably the views are good from anywhere you sit given the small size of the venue?

Re: Confused...Tony Bellew fight Feb?
If you have a normal ticket you can sit anywhere other than ringside. If you get there early enough that includes the seats just behind ringside. The view from the balcony upstairs is great but quite hard to get into (or back into) once it starts going.

Re: Confused...Tony Bellew fight Feb?
I'm not a matchmaker and I'll never try telling my matchmaker or manager what to do, like I always say, I'll fight anyone, I'll say this much though I feel Darren Stubbs is better than Billy Boyle!! IMHO, yet no one says a thing when he is contesting the British title, I have just fought 2 guys no one wants to fight in Ajisafe and McKenzie,
I wanted McIntosh but it's not happened, I seem to remember Danny Mc fighting Rasani instead!! The same Rasani I stopped in the first round!! Once again not much said about that?? If it is to be Stubbs then he has wins over prospects such as John Ibbotson and is a prizefighter finalist too!! The guy comes to fight and messing round with fighters in the last chance saloon bar is always highly dangerous IMO..
