graham earl vs kevin bennett

Post by Spreadking »

Is this an easy win for Earl ? based on records, and not seeing either guy I would say Earl even has a chance for a kayo.

any insight on this fight would be appreciated.

thanks.

i quite fancy bennet to beat earl and not just cause he's from my town.

I have seen earl fight 3 or 4 times now and twice both dodgy decisions against vanzie. The second of their fights was an appalling decision.
Then he got beat off ricky burns, an unexperience scottish up and comer, although you cant really count this defeat as earl came in un prepared but he still didnt do anything to impress.

Bennett on the other hand came through a bad case of exhaustion to beat michael muya, but seems to have sorted his cardio out now.
I thought he could have easily beat jason cook if he had opened up more and threw more punches, he was far to cagey in that fight. He then performed well by outpointing dean philips convincingly.

Im going for bennett on points for this

Bennett has been improving since the Muya fight - he looked comfortable against Jason Cook and used the right tactics, but didn't do enough to score. From what I read it seems he used good tactics to disrupt Dynamite Dean's comeback... and it was tactics Ricky Burns used against Earl to huge effect. The thing is, I'd compare Bennett to Steve Murray more than Burns or Vanzie, and Earl looked good there.

Sitting on the fence for this one.

im rooting for bennet sorry but Earl and Colin Lynes are two of the luckiest champs around with their "decision wins"

I hope Bennett wins as well, Earl is one of the most lacklustre "champions" around, he is a dull, overrated fighter with little to excite the fans. Yes i back Bennett to do the business.
