Stephane Ouellet

Just to know what image Stephane Ouellet have elsewhere than here in the beautiful province of Quebec.

I grew up watching him fighting like he was a World Class legend. Looking at his record today tell me I was just young and dumb.

Here, we were hearing he was the next Champion of the World until alcool and dumbness led him to misery.

At his prime, he had a trilogy of great fight with the former WBC super-middleweight champion Dave Hilton.

What do you guys know of him ? Was he just a local star here in Quebec or has he been consider and known elsewhere ?

Was hyped by the Yvon Michel promotionnal bandwagon. Lucas was considered his sidekick until the Tiozzo performance. A nice talent who never learned what to do when hurt. Suspect chin too that was cracked by Hilton, but even before him.
A decent Amateur but nothing amazing if you compare with young Davey and Matthew Hilton.
Didn't have a boxing mind set too and not the sharpest pen in the box.

His contribution to Qc boxing is somewhat important as him and Lucas were the main characters used to revitalize boxing in Mtl in the 90's.
