You seem to be very vocal on all aspects of Sheffield boxing, yet never commented on the attacks on Richard Poxon's house.

Surely you would like the chance to condemn these cowardly attacks ?

I Know it used to be get past your regonial stage you classed as open class.... for example say a boxer won his norfolk county title, then went thru to next stage regoinal finals with boxers from norfolk, suffolk, essex&cambridgeshire&won that he would be classed as open class....thats how it used to work years back, its prob all changed now...

Lee Noble is a top bloke - but he is a step back for Liam Cameron - for me Cameron needs to be match toughly from now on and I am 100% certain he will produce the goods.

The tougher the fights the better Cameron will be - going through a list of journeymen in my view will do no good whatsoever.

Good to see you back, Spud.

Cameron's next opponent has won 2, lost 12.
His last opponent won 2, lost 7.
The one before won 1, lost 17.

To say Lee Noble would be a step back from these is ridiculous.

i have to agree with Pugilist here - Lee is a very good yardstick for any prospect and a very dangerous opponent on his day. Would be a crackling little fight when you add in the Sheffield rivalry.

allegedly matched Billy Joe Saunders with Lee at a similar stage of career to where Cameron is now. Makes sense, if you ask me ...

Ughhh???????????

Like I have stated in a previous post Lee Noble is a top man - but in now way is he any form of yardstick for a fighter of Cameron's calibre - I have seen Noble is some fights which have stunk the place out - yes he is very evasive and very hard to pin down but I am not sure what fight it was but I heard Brendan shouting at his man to fight!!!! or he would lose - so how can he be a yardstick for Cameron?? Surely you fight fans want to see Cameron in real tests rather than propaganda b*llocks which have risen from the "local rag".

In my view if Cameron v Noble is made it will be a step back for Cameron and its only a fight purely for ticket sales and right now Cameron needs the right fights rather than "seat fillers"

i think the point that is being made here mate is that Noble is significantly better than Liam's current level of opposition. So therefore he definitely would not be a step back as you are arguing - in fact, he would be a step forward

Can't fault that logic. Spud, I think what you mean is that he's not enough of a step forward, but there's no way on earth it can be a step back.

Lee Noble is a step forward as an opponent for Liam. He is tough, fit, game and has bags of experience against some very good lads. I think Liam would win but on points; Lee Noble does not look for an easy way out. Liam Cameron is a very good boxer and has his feet firmly on the floor. He'll do well.

A couple of fights we will be lookin at after this are the likes of paul burns or lee Edwards which if u check their records have only one loss each,a positive step if u ask me,lee has a losing record as a spoilers style and at this stage is not benificial to what we are doing, liam is now on his second 6x3s so we want him to adapt. To longer rounds shortly goin to 8 rounds as we think liam will like the more rounds,Lee Noble should make is own path if he wants to be a name,he had a chance with the english title and lost also lost to stu brooks for a title,

There's logic there, hope Liam gets regular bouts to keep it all moving; think I'll be at the Dome next Saturday.

Aghhh bless your cotton socks!!!!

When I surface you are not far behind - how are things in the gym - have you put on anymore timber?

With regards to my argument being flawed - a points win against Lee Noble is hardly going to set the world alight anymore than his debut performance against Matt Scriven is it - and thus if you or anyone else agrees theres hardly any point in fighting him is there.

Once met Lee Noble in at The Town Hall in Middlesbrough  :TU:

Lee Edwards has lost twice, but that would be a very interesting fight.

Burns has never boxed outside Scotland and boxrec rate him no.27 at welterweight.

They rate Lee Noble no.15 at light-middle.

Incidentally, Lester Walsh's rating says "not rated".

thing is we were told liam is boxing lester walsh by the same matchmaker who said liam was boxing Dee Mitchell 3 fights ago so we just get on with it,but edwards and burns are the fights we want,as for burns not boxing out of scotland doesn't mean nothing he still holds a good record
