Current scene mentioning that Golota returning on August 18th (Rachman/Barret undercard.)
Went to have a glance at Golota's record, only to see him up to face Valuev on that date, who in turn has no Akinwande on his To do list.
Is this a dream? WTF is going on?

I was just wondering the same thing, presumably you brought this over from the "Current Scene" in order to have some sane discussion. Personally I can't really imagine:
a. Don King letting a giant like Valuev within 50 miles of a fighter as mentally weak as Golota right now, and..
b. Sauerland sending Valuev over to the States for an eliminator on a DKP card.

Pretty much. Quite how Golota can even be contemplated as still being considered WBA eliminator material when he's had 3 title cracks on the trot, the worst of which was most recent, is mad. Surely Valuev is #1 by now. Don King is an arsehole. Absolute bag of shit.
And what about Akinwande in all this? Dragged out of semi-retirement to be put in front of Valuev, only to be thrown aside if there is any ounce of truth in this.

The Chicago Tribune reports that Andrew Golota will be given the opportunity to gain another title shot. Don King has apparently said that he will not give up on Andrew Golota and plans to put him in a WBA elimination bout on August 13th. The bout will take place in the United Center, located in Golota's hometown of Chicago. King said that Golota's opponent is slated to be the 7 foot Nicolay Valuev of Russia. Valuev became the WBA's number one contender upon knocking out Clifford Ettiene on May 14th, 2005.
"I'm not going to give up on Golota, and I hope the Polish people don't. We're going to revitalize Golota's career. He got caught (by Brewster). It could happen to anyone." said King
The bout will be the first televised showcase of Valuev in the United States. The Golota-Valuev encounter will land on the undercard of the WBC eliminator between Monte Barrett and Hasim Rahman, welterweight king Zab Judah is also slated for the show.

Well, Golota does not deserve to be in an eliminator fight so soon after screwing up 3 title shots in a row. Nothing agaisnt Golota, but he should have at least won a fight to qualify for an eliminator. He has been given more chances than anybody else recently.
Anyway if it happens, Valuev will ko Golota inside 5 rounds. Golota is not menatally into boxing anymore. and so soon after a brutal ko loss he should not be fighting a big puncher anyway.
