If Clev uses his brains he'll pick Jurgen apart!! Speed and angles is all he needs but I will say this, if he trades with Brahmer that'll be it!! He can whack but is not an awkward southpaw or hard ro hit!! Good luck to Nathan, Frank will get this here for him I'm sure ;)

Braehmer is the bigger puncher here, Clev has more speed and probably the better skills. Braehmer is inconsistant in his fights. He will look great for a few rounds, then look like shit, then come back again. His power and unpredictable nature make him fun to watch most of the time though. If Clev fights like he did against Murat, Braehmer will have no issues about engaging with him, and the fight will be exciting. Braehmer did lose to Veit (who is very underrated due to the nature of the Calzaghe defeats) and Garay, and these fights show that he is not an elite LHW. He is still a legit top 10 fighter who is very dangerous, and he will be the best opponent Clev has fought.

Excited for this. Hopefully Braehmer doesn't bitch out.

This would be a fight I'd really look forward to. I've not really seen Braehmer fight, but he has a good record and seems to be a puncher. I've also read about his problems outside of the ring.

Ya, he has a thing for breaking women's noses in night clubs and beating people unconscious in fits of road rage. Not a nice guy.

Hopefully Cleverly'll knock him down a peg or two.

I'm not convinced Brahaemer would show up. He has a habit of pulling out of fights at the last minute, like the other week when he had the squits and went home a couple of days before the Shumenov fight. Cleverley can definitly win the fight, if it happens.

His strength and power are his main assets. He has a decent chin but can be a bit of a plodder. He's pretty relentless. Think of a much bigger and more aggressive Sebastian Sylvester.

I'm really glad Warren has enforced some action. Did he actually read a previous thread about this fight.

Brahmer is a strange one, I think he is a very talented guy - but sometimes doesn't apply himself. I'm not sure why..... classic example was the Mario Veit fight. Veit definately deserved the win, but the second fight though it was as if Brahmer got thinking, different fighter completely..... he then though switched off against Garay. Seems to learn from it, but not during the contest - almost needs a defeat to refocus.

Definately not the most consistent of guys.

I really hope it happens - I really don't want to see another vacant title - its really bugging me now. Why cannot the brit promoters offer purses that champions cannot refuse. I have a hunch though Brahmer will go for just the WBA title.

let's say cleverly wins the title. i don't expect loads of great matchups in defense of the WBO title. i hope nobody's salivating. his title fights will probably be like the last one, on the bumper "world title" bill PPV.

i know stujones will be pleaed if cleverly challenges a champion, rather than getting vacant title fights. cleverly deserves his shot after that riveting eliminator fight with murat. i just think it'll be as frustrating as it was in the calzaghe era; reckon there'll be lots of messy fights vs guys we've not heard of before.

I suspect your will be right. Alex Arthur and now Ricky Burns didn't seem to be taking on all comers - with the added insentive of the promoter seeming to have got PPV options, cannot see him being risked in a fight that he could lose. I have the feeling that if the Brahmer fight goes ahead - then that will be the biggest challenge for Cleverly for sometime.

Whats the point of having say Brook vs Pacquiao and/or Clev vs Hopkins on one (or two bumper PPV's) when its could be Brook vs Jones, followed by Brook vs Jennings 2, then Brook vs M Hatton over the course of many PPV's. Clev will support/co headline against similar opposition.

Please note - I am not blaming the fighters or the promoter, its just business at the end of the day. Kind of blaming the fans for accepting this.

Likewise, if Haye vs Ruiz and Haye vs Harrison can do big numbers - then whats the point of say Haye vs Chagaev or Adamek.

Why would Brook be headlining? Is he more popular than Cleverly?

I can guarantee you Nathan WILL try to unify the LH titles, Whether his camp can make them is another thing.

Mr Bellew I agree with you 100% (for a change  ) Also traveling up to see your fight, am I still allowed to say hello or not

It was just examples, might be co headline, might be Clev headlining - but with the exception of Enzo Mac, neither the Mag 7 nor the Liverpool one ended with an upset defeat or a defeat the the promoter particularly hates. The only other British guy to lose to a non FW boy was Matthew Hall, who is never going to be a PPV main eventer.

At the moment outside of the geniune big fights at Light Heavy (Hopkins, Pascal and Dawson) the European/Domestic level competition is much more well known at Welter. I feel Brook vs M Hatton would be dupped a main event over say Clev against Bellew or McIntosh 2.

Lets hope they both continue to win against the very best, but if Clev lost to Hopkins and/or Brook lost to Pacquiao - how could FW promote their rehabiliation as PPV's. Khan's PPV's did terrible figures and he was a well known fighter.

To keep these so called Mega events, 70:30 fights being dubbed 50:50, alive the British boys have got to keep winning, and too guarenteed to keep winning... they've got to face not the elite.

My god I hope I am wrong, but history doesn't support it. Look what has happened to the career of Nicky Cook when he got upset.

Brahmer is definetly beatable, he is fairly strong and can whack a bit but has limited skills is a bit wild at times and has a leaky defence, I honestly believe if the moment doesn't get to Cleverly then I would fancy him to win widely on points or even force a late stoppage!

Clev can win this I am sure of it. Especially if Warren gets it in Cardif or London as it will be mainly Clev supporters causing all the noise.

Come on Clev bring home the belt.

March 19th is the definate date llamalew, if Braehmer turns up or gets injured is another matter. As per all world title fight and fights in general always a risk of it falling down.

I think you're being a little harsh on braehmer tony, whilst he's not the slickest southpaw about etc he's still a pretty decent tecnician and has a decent enough boxing brain to be fair.
