Frank, that's funny. I did the same thing. I didn't say "Reveille" but I would get up early and yell "Everybody up, let's get the day started". It gave me great pleasure! :DDD

One of my California experiences, growing up in Vegas for a kid we didn't have as much to do as other cities do, so when my parents would take us kids on vacation it would almost always be to Southern Cal, the earliest I can remember I was about 4 and we went to Calico ghost town, has anyone on here ever gone there ?.

Thank You all for sharing this info. I haven't seen Carlos since the 1990's and he looks great.
I am glad to hear he is doing well enough to travel and go to dinners such as WBHOF.
All of you are very photogenic and makes for a classic shot. Thanks again.

Today The Jets take on the dreaded NE Patriots. Having in-laws over and general consensus is homemade tacos (chicken & beef) and Quisadillas. Easily put together as to not miss much of the game in preparation.
My wise-ass brother-in-law Paul, a dyed in the wool Giants fan (I dont even know why I let him in the door today) quipped that "The tacos are easy to clean off the TV when you throw them at it, when Sanchez overthrows the Receivers".
I think two things are going to get a beating today- The Patriots and my brother-in-law Paul.
Depending on whom gets it first remains to be seen.

Would like to see Seattle beat up Chicago today. I've been a Leon Washington fan since he joined the Jets, if for no other reason than that alone.Sorry to disappoint ex-pug & Hammer.
Blackhawks beat up my Islanders last week. No story there though.
Enjoy the games guys ! Go Jets !

Charlie from my experience, most New Yorkers that I know don't like Mexican food, the younger ones I know sometimes like it, but older New Yorkers no, my theory on that is years ago not much in the way of Mexican food there, us west coasters on the other hand love it.

Don Fraser and Hap Navarro both had publicity jobs for this fight.
Fraser's job was to cover the Robinson camp, at San Jacinto. Hap's job was the Olson camp, which was at Ocean Park.

Me too! I have no kitchen skills. If it were not for Monica, restaurants, food on film sets, etc. I'd starve to death.
I can make a pretty good egg sandwich, just don't like doing it.
The only thing I'm good at in the kitchen is cleaning up after myself. I don't leave food out or dishes in the sink.
This is where Monica and I clash. She cooks, and she'll clean up later.
I'm not a versatile guy. I take pride in doing my job well, and keeping myself fit, I try to be a good friend.
Aside from that, I'm pretty much worthless. :OhYes:

The pats are getting drilled 14/3 right before the half, if you bet the pats at a sportsbook you can tear up the ticket about now because you have to lay 9 1/2 as well.

Speaking about tearing up a sports ticket, I nearly did that when I bet Shannon Briggs to beat George Foreman about 12 or 13 years ago, the fight had concluded and I left the ticket on the coffee table and left the house before the decision was announced, I was assuming George won the decision because he certainly beat him by a mile, well I get downtown to Binions horseshoe and I pass by the sportsbook and see that Briggs ''won'', well I was glad to have won the bet, Briggs was +180 for 200 which got me back 560 of ''found'' money, no way Briggs won that fight. :witzend:

The Jets . . .

They whipped Peyton Manning and the Colts in Indianapolis last week, and now they whip the Patriots in New England.
You know, they came into the other guys territories as underdogs, no edge, and they won.
The Super Bowl is no longer a "long shot". You don't get much closer, and I hope the Jets take it all! :OhYes:

Paul . . . In the early 60's, when I was 11 or 12, I went camping in the area and on the way back we stopped at the Ghost Town.
The Calico Ghost Town was created by Walter Knott. Knott was also the founder of "Knott's Berry Farm".
