Feb 25, Mwetpunga v Edgar Wymarra, Punchbowl

Post by kylamy »

Just a quick update, Johannes Mwetpunga is now fighting Edgar "Brown Sugar" Wymarra for the national 160 pound or 72.57kg strap, on Bob Barisic's show at the Croatian Club in Punchbowl on Feb 25.

This card is shaping up to be a good one, albiet just three fights at present, the fight with Mwetpunga is not a forgone conclusion, it will depend just how fit Wymarra is, if he has done the work, he can win this fight, We all know he has the talent, just whether he has the fitness and overall stamina, because he has not really been that active of late, but i wish both guys every success, here's hoping it will be a terrific fight for our National belt.

The Matchmaker is Barry Raff, he's done a good job, he has matched Jae Bryce, 1-1 originally from WA (Kalgoorlie) against Jamie Bogovic, 2-1.

This will be a good solid scrap, I have not seen Bogovic fight in the flesh yet, but there are raps on him, I refereed Bryce in Kalgoorlie, it was a real war when he defeated a comebacking Peter Brennan, Bryce can fight a bit and this should be a cracker.

Cheers,
Brad

Does that have anything to do with the shooting of Peter Junior?

Edgar got injured that's why the show didn't happen

IMHO, the fight should've never been approved, even tho voluntary defence. Edgar has 'use by date' clearly stamped on his forehead.
